Deadlock vs Battleborn

With Deadlock, a Shooter Moba that is just starting to take off, I really hope Randy realizes that the only game this game flopped is because of his terrible, TERRIBLE marketing.

Came here because I myself just recently played Deadlock and immediately thought of Battleborn, glad to see I'm not the only one.,

agreed everyone even myself thought it was like overwatch and i didnt realize it was a moba until the servers got shut. so far HoTS and battlerite(when it was at its peak) are the only mobas worth putting time in

deadlock just released at a better time and valve has a stronger cult following

Deadlock is free, this was released as paid game, even though you had to grind characters (lolwut?), they later realized that monetization method was wrong, but it was late

not the marketing, worse, it was TIMING and PRICING, if the cut the price to 19.99 like overwatch did, and waited another say 3 months to launch.. so it wasnt directly up against blizzards cheaper more anticipated game... the game may still be going now or even have a bb2...

most people i know who did buy this played overwatch more because ppl they knew played it and didnt have bb.. those who didnt get the game it was because even on sale it was over 2x the price...

the worst part is, i have been told it was NOT a cost cutting measure so much as Randy wanting his failure out of the public eye..

honestly this game had its issues but... i would be quite happy to play it again with friends... they should honestly consider re-releasing this game and then drop an updated version on ue4 or another modern engine, (ue5 perf sucks on pretty much everything... buddy of mine whos got a 4090 even complains about it.. and the mans willing to play RPG type games at 30fps... )

i would LOVE to see them re-release this game honestly... even better if they did something crazy like released the server software and made it a self hosted game with them just running a master server(easy thing to patch into a ue game in most cases).. it could be great.. and if they released the old ver free for a set window of time, then like 4.99 to buy it... it would sell copies, and it would build interest in an updated version of the game...

so much abject ♥♥♥♥♥ these days... bb was at least fun, and after the updates to the maps... that would have been done if they did some open betas or "early access" type setup till official launch 3mo or so after overwatch dropped... i have a feeling this game would still be around even after overwatch was nuked to force everybody into overwatch2...

bb was more fun for me than overwatch.. i found overwatch too floaty feeling.. :/
