FAQ about Battleborn Reborn project

Here's some common question people ask about Battleborn reborn project, if some are added i will update this post. If you have any question that not appear here, you may ask below, but you will have a faster answer directly asking in the discord:

Q: who do i need to thank?
A: @gwog :3 did everything, thank him.

Q: What do I need?
A: You need to own battleborn on steam and download it through, and then follow the steps above in ⁠reborn-news-and-faq

Q: I don't have battleborn on steam
A: then you need to buy it, you can get keys for the game on Amazon, the link above is US only. for other places check your own amazon, key resellers (these are risky, so do so at your own risk) and sealed physical copies which you can get in real stores, ebay and other places.

Q: What is playable?
A: You can play any Character on all 8 Story missions, 5 operations and the prologue currently.
PvP is planned, Co-op in online is also planned. both is not here yet due to no network features so far.

Q: Can i play this on Console?
A: No, Reborn only works for PC, and due to technical issues also is not planned for console

Q: Is this legal?
A: Yes.

Q:Will PvP be possible?
A: Not yet but it is being worked on. This includes local PvP, and also against bots.

Q: Do i keep my progress?
A: Currently neither gear nor skins are available.

Q: is the program safe?
A: yes it has been verified by windows security, and its also open source and on github, so you can check the code yourself if you doubt it.

Q: Do I need to buy the season pass to get the extra characters and DLC?
A: Nope! You have access to everything, even if you only had the free trial version installed on your steam account.

Q: Can i get achievments?
A: Currently not and also we don't know if it will be possible overall.

Q: The file does not download/is stopped by windows/antivirus.
A: update your windows defender in the windows security settings, it has been verified to be safe, it just doesn't update the specifics for everyone on the regular. If your browser stopped it go into your download history and retry the download again and give it specific permission to download this "rarely downloaded file"

Can you post instructions on how to play without needing to use discord?

- Battleborn must be installed (via Steam etc.)
- visit https://bereborn.dev/
- download and install ReBornInstaller.exe
- run Reborn Launcher and select Battleborn main folder i.e. \Steam\steamapps\common\Battleborn\

(Confused with Battleforge Reborn! :D Now corrected, thanks Seila)

That's really strange. Not an antivirus thing, I literally get the discord page saying the link is invalid. I'll investigate.

Turns out I needed to actually have the discord program running and it worked fine. Never had this issue before, so maybe a strange discord update borked it somehow (I don't use discord often, and the web browser version always worked in the past). *shrug*

Don't worry, i only use discord for Battleborn, i'm ,ot "used" too in a way ^^
