Op Rewards
So as the name suggest after Op's you get the big chests but they have useless stuff, lives and health and at the end of the mission you do not need that stuff so can't you make those chests full of actual loot and depending on the op points depends on if they have any legendarys in.

I have a quick question however as I have no idea but with Montana at level 9 there is a helex called "the cooler" does that also enhance effects from your gear or only from healing given from other players?

For the ops missions if you get 100 ops points you'll get a commander pack, which guarantees a skin/taunt and has some assorted loot as well. And all the big chests have at least one piece of loot, even if it's mostly junk. I agree the extra lives at the end of a level are dumb, but whatever.

As for the montana helix, I'm pretty sure that it only affects outside sources of healing, such as Miko's beam, Ambra's sunspots, Alani's wellspring etc. I think it would just add to whatever "healing recieved" gear you have, which is different than "health regen" gear. Regen is not affected by healing recieved.
It matters not if they have at least one item in the chest, it has 5 spaces in the chest and 1 of them is worth something. There rewards at the end they should be full of loot.
Could you imagine if you was doing a raid in an MMO for a couple of hours and you fight your way thought hordes of enemy's kill the final boss and then be given a rusty dagger would you be happy? Even the items you get is more often than not rubbish and selling it normally is worth what a couple of hundred at most.
And the loot box you get at end for 100 OP does not always have anything special in, sure you rarely will get a skin or taunt but for me most of the time it's just giving me 500 or 1000 credits instead along with 1 or 2 useless pieces of gear. I think what happens is that the packs only can reward you with a set number of gear and if you already unlocked all the skins/taunts that the packs have a chance of giving then it fills the space with 500 or 1000 credits.

Can't really speak for everyone of course but the few people I have done ops with all agree the rewards are pretty lame and will only really do the ops for the 85 OP skin and challenges.

Jack made a boo boo, the Commander packs are random and don't guarantee skins, 85 OPs for each dlc gets each character two skins. (Unless you already got the 40 OPs skin.)

Commander packs will give you a faction specific taunt/skin, different than the ops skins you earn. Like the white skins that you can only get through loot packs. If you already have the skin, then the packs will just give you credits.

I make plenty of boo boos throughout a given day (my wife will verify), but I think I'm right about this one:steammocking:

Yeah we all make mistakes, the key term with the Commander packs is: Can drop.
I've very rarely gotten skins and taunts in them and very often have gotten the typical trash gear. Only Gearbox could devise gear that cancels itself with negative attributes.

Yeah thus my point the reward given in the chests are lame and the packs are too random for the loot, I always sell the gear that gives a negative effect as well because it's just plain stupid.

Same, I've done 100 OPs with each character on each dlc and have sold 100% of the gear.

The loot system overall is kinda dumb, there's only a handful of attributes that are worthwhile (attack dmg, health, etc) and the others aren't worth the space they take up.

And do you know what really grinds my gears? Legendaries. They're either worthless or broken with a few exceptions, and the fact that you can get a less than max-roll from a completely random loot pack (with the same activation cost as the rest, mind you) is really annoying.

Yup, the only one that was good with each drop for me is the Aria, which i used in each dlc.
btw for what you go thru at 100 OPs in the Montana dlc the loot is whack.

More like the atakus op, that final boss is a pain.
We just need better loot all round and the chests should be full of random loot with higher rank stuff the higher op and also GET RID OF THE DETRIMENTAL EFFECTS ON THE GEAR, it's the most stupid thing gearbox could of done who uses it?
Everyone I know who plays the game will not use any gear with a negative effect and will sell and the credits you get is practically negligible as well. >.<

I use negative effect gear all the time. Negative healing on non healers, negative shield on eldrid, negative reload/recoil on melee. Free shard generators are life.
