One of the curators mentioned "Lame SJW story", can someone spoiler-free explain that?

Because I'm really interested in this, and I'd rather not spoil the story by looking it up.

But I'm also a tad burnt out on hamfisted attempts to cram in real world politics or the usual corporate virtue signaling, and it's not like there aren't another billion games out that are worth playing as well (and twenty billion that aren't, thanks steamdirect).

That curator posted that about 2 months ago, the only reason you could call the game "SJW" at that point (ie from what was publically known about the game) is because the main character is a woman. I'm 25/30% of the way in and the game has some anti religious overtones and a pro science message, I haven't see anything political anyway

I have to be honest, with all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SJW in my games nowadays I also want to be absolutely sure none of the upcoming games have any SJW themes integrated into them. ABSOLUTELY NONE OF THEM.

The closest thing to an SJW moment in the game would be (spoiler for a not important thing) there's a part early on where you're discovered by a guard who's expecting someone else and comments "a girl?", when the prompt comes up to respond to him a couple sentences later, one option is "I'm not a girl!", to which he responds "Oh, uh, sorry, I guess I'll try to be more open minded" or something. This is only brought up one more time a bit further in the game where they bring up you being wanted, and if you've chosen that option, they add "Also we've been told not to call her a girl?" That's literally it, it's never brought up for the rest of the game, it's just a silly moment of nothing.

The curator read the one sentence summary of the game and expected it to be a fedora tipping religion bashing good time. When you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, sometimes you end up saying dumb stuff off the cuff. It happens.

Iconoclasts is a beautiful fun adventure with explosions and honest portrayal of good guys and bad.

Since SJWs are malformed losers who hate adventure, honesty, fun, and beauty, Iconoclasts is not SJW and cannot be said to be SJW

On a scale of 1-10, 1 being "Duke Nukem" and 10 being "Mass Effect: Andromeda", I'd put this at a 3. You get maybe a line or two of dialog that barely adheres to progressive, SJW narratives about parity, fairness, and collective identity. There are some non-heterogeneous relationships... but, then who gives a ♥♥♥♥.

Maybe the fact that most heroes and villains are females, and that all male characters have pretty 1 dimensional character flaws... but, I wouldn't dig too deep into it.

It's an outstanding game. Definitely the best of 2018, perhaps the best for a long time.

Mina is in realtions with Samba. This is heavily suggested later in the game.
But I didn't feel any real "SJW"ness from this title. And trust me, I'll be the first to get annoyed by blatant liberal agendas being shoved into a game.
