I have a 1.2 GB update ...
and its downloading at the speed of 60.5 KBPS.
I wish you guys would post a link to the update files so we can download it outside of steam and then move it to the game files it would be very fast.
When downloading any files out side of steam using a programs or not (for me it is a program called download manger) 60.5kbps becomes a +1 MBps

In order to save space large portions of Squad are archived. As a result it takes a while for the updates to install. It might also be the game making sure the update is installed properly. Overall that's pretty normal. Otherwise thank you OWI for continuing to push fixes. Sorry making games is so hard sometimes.
Nah they basically reinstall the game with the new content every update
Please stop putting so many craps in your update, it almost feels like a windows update.

Why add abstract nerfs to the physical combat arena? Relying upon timers to suppress aggressive playstyles is poor game design. You're only applying it conditionally, which is jarring; it's jarring to the typical player who wants to run around on a battlefield and fu.cking kill sh.it. Worse, it's a skill-ceiling nerf--this is bad game design. A timer in this context should only be considered as an absolute last resort. Such mechanics just suck you out of the immersive gameplay; it reminds one more of a badgering pay-per-play arcade game.

Here's an idea that would enhance the gameplay and in fact increase the skill ceiling: rather than of implementing bullsh.it "naughty chair" timers, instead punish players for exposing critical areas of their body on the battlefield. If you get shot in the face or a critical artery, then "you fu.ckin' die". Otherwise, the revive system should work as normal, pre-v2.7. Anyway, aggressive players were already suitably punished upon revive: that they revive with a minor fraction of original health--the main playstyle that this mechanic curbs is "being a dumbass and getting yourself killed due to overwhelming exposure".

Sorry, but this is boring bullsh.it game design. Facepunch did it with Rust ("safe zone" punishment for dev-perceived undesirable behaviour) and it was a bullsh.it awful mechanic there, too.

When are you adressing the bug with 32:9 resolution monitors having forced FOV inside vehicles / helicopters, resulting in not being able to see the helo's screens in front of you?

Very annoying, can't fly at all because of this.

Is this even on your bug-list? This bug exists for a long time now
Nades sounds like smoke mortors at a distance. The previos nade sounds where pretty sick.

Speaking of accurate audio: What if I told you that today, the devs could deploy a drop-in, FOSS DLL that simulates accurate 3D positional audio (better than any of that PS5 "Tempest" dreck), but for some unknown reason just won't?

Last I checked, this DLL enhancement works out-of-the-box, so long as EAC is disabled. Sure, the mixing could go through a rework at this point, but the OWI seemingly don't care to discuss even enabling anti-cheat support, as-is.
