SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS...am I doing something wrong?

I see the min system requirements are a CPU with 4 cores and a GTX 970 with 4GB RAM?
I've just come back to the game after 'upgrading' to a 1060 6GB (dont laugh) and have an i7 4th gen and 32GB Ram, however, I would say the game is unplayable for me with all the settings as low as possible. Maybe minimum SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS on the store page should be updated? I could kinda play this game 5yrs ago with a 750 gtx on my 2nd gen i7.

Wow, switched from DX12 to DX11, big improvement, at least so fr as I can tell.
