Squad is a server based game so admins can just ban peeps even suspected of cheating. The most destructive cheats are not using aimbots they are wall hacking and location hacking making B-lines to silent Fob's ect or insane flanks on even remote squads.

There are plenty of aimbots and cheats out there and it really takes the fun out of the game.

One instance, I was on a corner of a wall with a smoke screen in front, could not see anything, i look out and received shots. I pulled back, applied bandage, looked again and got shot. There is no way in hell anyone could see to shoot through the smoke unless they were cheating.

Another instance, a guy was running across a road and i took three shots, all missed, they turned and headshot me dead without any pause, no way in hell is that possible unless they were cheating.

That is enough first hand evidence for me that this game is not worth playing unless you are happy to be cannon fodder for lamer cheaters.

some times due to desync, smokes do not display for players, this is where the getting shot through smoke often comes from.

squad is also has a pretty good spatial sound mechanic and many players sound ♥♥♥♥♥ and can tell where you are purely from that.

gun play for the most part is skill based and muscle memory, ive been fired upon and managed to turn and snap a head shot to my own amazement. it just comes down to playing time and how good of a player you can become.

there are so many variables as to why your shots didnt land, desync, too far for your current weapons ranging, the list goes on.


squad cheaters are very few and far between, and they are extremely obvious, if you want a game with outrageous, constant, and blatant cheating, go check out planetside 2

This attitude perpetuates the myth that there aren't cheaters in this game and there clearly are. I've seen them and theres lots of videos on YouTube.

Every game has cheaters, even squad. Squad may not have as many as other games (which is quite good), but they still do. I only ran into a few of them within the few years since the game has released, but even then squad is a hard game to tell how many people actually cheat.
