Why can't we have both ICO and PRE-ICO for servers?

I believe that this is the easiest solution for the game. Having both kinds of servers where ICO can either be turned on or off is the best solution for this current problem we're facing in the game. This would insure that both kinds of players (Those who like the ICO update and those who liked Pre-ICO) get what they enjoy the most out of the game. It's the obvious solution and one that i'd like to see implemented.

Cause they don't want to see how Pre-ICO servers would be overwhelmingly more popular.

It's almost like they hate money or something. This is the fix they would need in order to bring order to this game. Many games have different game modes, why can't this one?

I think there is also a technical reason. If you keep changing a game and you have two different flavours of core mechanics, you will have to maintain them both. A whole other story would be if they say: "Hey, you can run your pre-ICO build and mod it, but there will be no further support for that thing."
But than again, if these modded pre-ICO servers would be very popular it would just look bad for OWI. Since there is no mayor ♥♥♥♥ storm because of the ICO, OWI can just ignore it.

They can't seem to maintain the game in it's current state. Pre-ICO had it's quirks but for the most part it was more stable. I guess they are just hoping that the modders come in and save their ass.
