Mic frequently not working

I don't play this game often, but about half the time when I do I can't talk to people. As far as I can tell this isn't an issue with my microphone, or my system default, because squad itself is showing levels on my microphone. It's especially infuriating that I can't see that there's anything wrong, and most of the time when it says my microphone is working, I'm actually dead silent. Does anyone know what causes this, how to detect it without embarrassing myself in game, and if there's anything I can do to fix it?

Hey, in the game voice settings you can talk and see if the bar goes up detecting your voice.

Do you have Voicemeeter installed? is your mic detected in Squad?

Maybe it is mic problem and wires in headset are loosing contact.

First of all set record your mic into repro, you will be sure it works properly
