UE 5 update not being mention in Store front page information
Sorry for this stupid topic,
But do you think it is still possible to get a refund due to the new UE5 update being planned?

I bough the game after it went on discount finally for a worthy price. Ive accumulated about 7 hours of free weeked play time (maybe one hour of plaay time after actual purchase), however. Ergo, when i request a refund it was denied (automatic i assume).

The planned UE5 update seems like will make the game unplayable for me.
I have a 1660 GTx. Dont plan on upgrading.
Im surprised they have not added some kind of special notice for the requirements.
Ive had to dig thru a few social posts to actually find this information.

Any body else have the same concern?

Thank you.

The game will lose a lot of players if they go ue5, from their test a rtx 3060 cant run the game stable 60fps even though the graphic settings make it look like a blurry cartoony mess
They also admitted that their coding is garbage, if only they optimized the ue4 instead of breaking the game further.

thank you for mentions,
I think if they use a different engine , basically what is next iteration of UE , why is it not a brand new game with its own seperate release and system requirements?

Very dishonest and mislead i think, not fair , but like most things in life...

Well, i would first wait and see how the performance in the actual release version is really going to be..., test version is of course less optimized i would guess. At least with the game (supposedly) being less cpu bound in UE5 ppl with older hardware should be able to get better performance with lowered graphics settings for a change (unlike now, when most ppl are cpu limited).

Regarding refunds: Steam only allows refunds when the total playtime is 2 hours or less (free weekend or not) and the purchase date is no longer than 2 weeks ago.

You can always try to get a refund from OWI directly, but im not sure if they do that, i would guess not.

I'm going to submit a refund request when the update drops. If I still cannot even get 30-40 FPS than for sure I am going to request a refund. When I purchased the game over a decade ago it listed certain specs and requirements. That's what I agreed too and purchased. Now it's just going to change engine and therefore change the system requirements. That's not what I agreed too or purchased all those years ago. I think legally speaking anyone who cannot run the game due to the developers changing the engine a decade later are entitled to a refund for the game, at the original price they purchased it at.

I doubt you will get anything with 412 hours.
