Its free, you need to find squad public beta in steam library, you just install the game once more. But beta tests are ocatiously from time to time and only handfull of servers.

While I don't agree that Radegast is a shill for UE5, your response is the wrong one. Telling people they have to spend at least $500 to upgrade their hardware to play a game they already paid for, own, and play is a peak shill response.

We should not have to pay potentially hundreds of dollars more to play this. While I'm happy that you can afford to do so, some of us aren't blessed financially to upgrade.

You have 23 hours total on squad. Try playing the game a bit longer before you start lecturing others on upgrading their hardware for a 10 year old game.

2080 SUPER and I7 9700K here. Cannot even get 30-40 FPS in a full server with stuff happening. I hate Unreal Engine 5 slop more than you can even imagine. Gameplay and performance is being directly sacrificed for the sake of graphics now. Literally 30% of Squads player base if not more like 50% will be unable to play the game when this launches. The only way to save Squad at this point with this upcoming nuke of an update is to allow players to choose which engine to launch the game in. In Steams launch parameters or something leave players the option to either launch the game in UE4 or UE5. That is the only way you will stop this update from completely decimating the player base.
