Got mic working for Squad but now broken for Squad44. Help?

So, I fought tooth and nail to get the Mic to work for Squad. And I won! It works 100 % of the time. However, it now does not work for Squad44. I have a feeling that I have messed up my settings within the PC to do break it.

Could someone help me out with getting a mic to work with both games?

Also could someone at least help me with which setting I need to change within the program to get either game to work?

I'm sorry, I've been out of town. This is my "cheat sheet" on how I specifically had/have to do to get my HyperX headset working. Again this is me SPECIFICALLY, and on Windows 10 Pro. Please do not EXPECT me to be able to help, I will look back at this thread and try to help but I am not good with computers. I had to coallate this data and make my own "pre-fight checklist" so that I could play. I do help this helps;

1. Allow Steam, Squad, Easy-Anti Cheat through the Norton Firewall.
2. Quit Killer Control Center, Disable Norton VPN, Quit Nvidia Settings.
3. Control Panel->Power Options->edit plan->USB->Selective Suspend: Disable it
--- for 3.5mm jack---
1. Plug it in. Select “Headset” from Realtek pop up.
2. Right click Speaker Icon
a. Playback Settings
i. Disable ALL. Enable Speakers, Realtek
ii. Properties:
1. Levels tab: Microphone and Line In 100%
2. Advanced tab: 16 Bit 44100Hz CD Quality, UNCHECK both Exclusive Modes, UNCHECK Audio Enhancements
3. Spatial Sound tab: OFF
b. Recording Settings
i. Disable ALL. Enable Microphone Array, Realtek
ii. Properties:
1. Listen Tab: UNCHECK listen to device, Playback: Speakers Realtek, Power Management: Continue running
2. Levels tab: Microphone Array 100%, Microphone Boost +20 dB
3. Advanced Tab: 2 channel 16 bit 44100Hz, UNCHECK both Exclusive Modes, UNCHECK Audio Enhancements

2. Right click Speaker Icon

3. Start STEAM
a. Check Voice output: Friends->Settings->Voice:
i. IF 3.5: Input: Mic Array Output: Speakers Realtek
ii. IF USB: Input: HyperX Output: HyperX
b. Launch Squad
c. In game audio settings:
i. If 3.5mm: Mic Array and Speakers Realtek
ii. If USB: HyperX for both AND Low quality sound
d. Pray
e. Use windows key to see if Microphone is being used in bottom right.

Thanks for replying mate i tried all of what you said and it still isnt working. i bought this game in 2024 and havent been able to play it bc of my mic not working ingame and its becoming increasingly frustrating.

I totally get it!! I was there too. I bought 3 different headsets before I got this HyperX to work. If I remember reading the game has a hard time with bluetooth devices and USB is hit or miss, so try the 3.5mm jack. I wish I could help more. It is a really good game once you get a mic. I think Squad44 is too if my memory serves. But I can't get on discord to get help with that one. My phone can't be verified!!
