Just call it a different game instead of trying to sugar coat a EA battlefield copy paste.
Current gamemodes are more difficult, some players may find it too complicated and would prefer something easier.
How would a "big, but simple" gamemode look? What would be simplified compared to a normal game? I can't come up with any ideas, that could work.
If you create a "kiddie-pool" by whatever means, the majority of new players won't leave it out of convinience / fear of the normal game, etc. And you create additional probles like smurfing.
I don't think Squads needs simplification. Yes, there is a learning curve, but it's inherent in such a game. Creating a "casual" mode would just split the playerbase. The average player I met is happy to help a new guy.
I would take a normal mode and start from there making things a bit easier. Respawn time could be faster. Logistic trucks could work as a respawn point or there could be respawn available at fully captured flags when no enemy inside cap zone, this could speed up logistics. There could be kill confirmation and visible statistics. Kits could be available for everyone but limited when you die, for example if you take sniper rifle and you die, you cant take it again for another 5-10 mins to avoid everyone play as a sniper and force normal kits. There are many things i could come up with but it doesnt really matter ...
Easy mode? Hell no
Respawn timers are not the "issue". When you die, getting back to the front line is usually much more time than the actual timer.
Spawning at a flag? Hope you like walking 10 minutes to the next one (as you want this on big maps). Your suggestion is a trap, you would spend more time walking far away from the action than in the normal game.
HAB placement is one of the most fundamental aspects of this game. Turning every logi into an MSV would throw a lot of strategy out the window. The enemy could come from anywhere at any time.
A killfeed wouldn't change all that much on average regarding the flow of the game.
The kit-changes would lead to a lot of weird stuff. Imagine 15 combat engineers mining roads.
There is a similar mod on the ORIGINAL server. Go and try it.
D/L Unreal Editor.
Create New game mode.
Add to Steam Workshop.
Be the change you want to see.
If it really is something that new arrivals are crying out for, then it will become a popular mod and someone may even host a server that implements it.
Also UE is quite easy to use - especially in regards to most of the changes you listed; and there are lots of resources to help you on youtube and the modding discord, so there's no reason not to try to do it yourself.
The few devs remaining are busy with other things at the moment, and even if they were to give us another game mode - I doubt they would release one that the majority of Squad players would complain was being implemented to attract an even more casual crowd..
Download the editor and have fun
There is no balancing the "spawn-at-a-flag-and-walk" issue. If you want this on a big map - as you said previously - distances will be long. Big distance = lot of time to walk.
You can't increase the movement speed enough to solve this. And creating a stock of unlimited motorbikes at each flag would truly turn the game on its head.
