Doesnt help that everyone uses the APC for anything other than carrying troops around.
I personally find talil fun as infantry. Kohat on the other hand...
The desert maps just provide another element to the tactics on how to we move from C to D across such open ground. Do we advance or do we dig in? Not every battle is about or has to be about pushing and advancing.
the best ones are with woods, snow, and so on
Its really a difference playing AAS on causal server, where both teams are spending assets and tickets uselessly and brainlessly between the bunkers, or play Invasion with experienced players, where is huge difference fighting on the open desert among vehicles, or intense combat in the streests of the town.
Yet i have to tell it again. Most players dont understand the ticket system and letting enemy bleed in the prepaired defense strong point. Quiet opposite you can see 2 full tracks rushing first enemy objective on the beginning of the round and losing so 20-40 tickets + radio...
These maps really favor the team that makes full coordination at the SL level of the "combined arms concept". Which if you don't have that going on your team, I can see how they may appear boring to the basic riflemen.
It is also one of the maps where aggression and/or super fobbing are both viable strategies.
If any match in squad is a walking simulator, your team is trash.
