bad graphics on epic settings
Just wondering, i have my settings on Epic using the rx 7700xt. but somehow the game looks bad, and comparing it to a youtube video with epic settings using the rtx 4060 which is slower, it has a better looking graphics why is that?

Squad only really uses 1 core and little bit of another, dosent do multi-threading. Not a huge load on the cpu, but if you have a high core and low ghz chip, the game would run poor, compared to lower cores, but higher clocks with good IPC ( instructions per clock )

Squad devs have mentioned in their discord that the best cpus are AMD X3D models that "brute force performance" with large L3 cache, Virsus.exe had mentioned that.

Other way to make the game look better to increase the resolution scale, more pixel density, or using VSR enabled resolutions through your GPU control panel and run the game upwards of 1440p. using epic AA x16 and use sharpening slider to lessen the temporal aa blur.

no i dont use any upscaler, i just run it natively 1080p. I assume maybe its my cpu? cause its only an i5 10400 but im not sure. cause i read online that squad is cpu demanding?

I dont want to be that guy, but I legit changed my monitor recently to a curved 2560x1440 and on the same settings it really does make a difference with how much better the in game visuals look (i know its sounds obvious but read rest).

Not saying you must buy a new monitor for this game to look good its probably something else, but im revisiting alot of older games I thought had ok graphics and going back now with a decent monitor I didnt realize what I was missing out on.
