RTX 3060 terrible fps
i set everything on low, i changed to directx11, i tried almost everything and my fps are around 40 (gpu usage around 40-50% and cpu 30% usage) is there any way to make it run smoother or is it just horribly optimised?

I7 7700 + rtx 3070 ti + drirectx11 + tv 4k:

1440p -> clean 60fps but can look maybe a bit blurry far away or is in my mind
4k -> down to 30 fps but 50 fps average with peak at 60
4k + dlss quality -> down 45 fps, to 60 fps, average 55-60 fps, it seems clean

I used it at the very beginning but I rode that dx11 is more stable then I switched. You think it can be more beautiful and more fps?

im still switching dx11 and dx12 and can't decide which one works better, dx11 i get like stable 40fps even at max settings (but GPU usage is like 40-70%), and dx12 i reach higher fps but the drops are also way more significant, also GPU usage is almost capped at 99% with dx12

For playing **Squad** with an **RTX 3070 Ti** on a **4K TV**, using **DirectX 12 (DX12)** is generally the better option. Here's why:

1. **Performance improvements**: DX12 is designed to be more efficient at using modern multi-core CPUs and GPUs. It allows for better CPU utilization, which can lead to smoother frame rates in CPU-bound scenarios.

2. **Better support for modern hardware**: Your RTX 3070 Ti is optimized for DX12, so it can take advantage of features like ray tracing (if enabled) and better optimization for high resolutions like 4K. DX12 can potentially squeeze more performance from the GPU in demanding scenarios.

3. **Higher FPS potential**: While DX12 can be more demanding in some cases, it often results in higher average FPS, especially when paired with a powerful GPU like the 3070 Ti at 4K resolution.

4. **TV and 4K scaling**: Since you are playing on a 4K TV, the demands on the GPU are high. DX12 tends to handle high-resolution textures and larger draw calls better than DX11.

That said, **DX11** can sometimes provide more stable performance if there are specific bugs or optimization issues with DX12 in a particular game. It's worth testing both APIs to see which performs better for you in Squad specifically, but in general, **DX12** is the recommended choice for 4K gaming with a high-end GPU like yours.

Ok, I will go for dx12 then ahah

actually i quit trying with this fkn game, i tried literally EVERYTHING yet it still runs like ♥♥♥♥, getting drops below 10fps on 1%L this is downright unplayable, devs should fix this

Its not really a laptop type of game

Yes it's difficult to set... 3070ti:
1440p or 4k + dlss = same, fps drop to 40-45 even if most of time it's 60. At 1440p it's somtimes a little bit smoother with the mouse.

I better to stay at 1080p with my old 1080gtx for 60 fps...

i already use DLSS in game, is that something different? what boost did it give you
This is ACTUAL frame generation. Not dlss.

i tried it but it's very stuttery since i can't reach stable 60fps :/
