Instead they should improve performance and further improve and balance the existing factions. Some slight vehicle overhaul would also be necessary to bring vehicles more in line with ICO (crew surpression, better vehicle physics, offroad speed for wheeled is too high etc.).
Especially APC agility is an issue now, doing sharp turns at high speed with some APC and IFV models that are now easily doable in Squad would flip those vehicles to the side with their high center of gravity. Tracked vehicles are mostly ok i think, don't think they need any immediate work.

They need to make all vehicles require crewman roles as welll, except for the logi trucks quads/bikes. The biggest problem is there is no spread on the vehicles guns at all (MGs) primarily. It's a laser beam.
RWS variants are a huge pain in the game, and can be operated by 1 person. Just pull right up on a hab and easily get 60+ klills a game.
That would also require an enemy team that is zero organised....^^
Which is quite the majority, lol. Plus the arming distance on AT kits, all that guy has to do is monitor the hab. I've done it. It's cheese af.
