good players still perform better than bad players, there are just limits now of what one can achieve totally on his own, which is a good thing for a game like Squad.
I love pre-ICO, There is NO other game like pre-v6 squad, it was a one of a kind experience. Now I can go into how people seem to think that the pre-v6 version of the game had no teamwork or teamplay. I played INF SL for over 3500 hours, I can tell you those people are just wrong. The problem with ICO is, I cannot bring myself to love it due to the fact it has outright replaced what I loved. It's to all extents and purposes a different video game and not what I paid for.
The Squad community are upset and angry for one singular reason, the game that they loved and enjoyed is simply gone. For those that say "don't play the game or go play something else", we can't. The game we loved and supported is now GONE. This has created one of the largest community divides I have seen in a game. There are generally two camps, those that always wanted a game like this and those that have spent years of their life enjoying pre-v6 and the gameplay loop it had to offer.
This is a laughably hyperbolic statement. I stopped playing pre-ICO and came back afterwards. It was a shock but you can adjust quickly. The only thing that's "gone" are your previous movement/positioning habits and the muscle memory you previously developed for the old model. The main global issue with gameplay is the influx of new players, not the mechanics.
For example, I usually pick HAT when I can, and I know how to use it. I had to adjust expectations for shot and stamina, but I'm back to consistently making long range shots. When I've occasionally jumped in a vehicle lately, the number of times I see enemy AT just totally whiff shots is nuts. I see LATs just running around willy nilly, trying to stop dead from a sprint and then quickshot from standing. LATs will also just dump their rockets into an MBT's or IFV's primary armor instead of trying to track or engine them for heavier AT to finish it off. Little of this has to do with ICO, but players not understanding their roles and kits.
No. The game has massive issues with FPS mechanics.
1) It punished players who had invested time and money into the games original features. Most of them, myself included, felt betrayed that a game we loved was now a completely different game than what we had purchased.
2) It caused a toxic divide in the community that pushes away a lot of potential new players.
3) It just flat ass sucks. If I wanted to play wiggle shoot mania, I'd go and purchase that game elsewhere. not have the brain dead devs push ♥♥♥♥ down my throat that I don't want...
Solution:
Make it so that we can host a version of the game that doesn't have this ICO garbage in it so us who enjoyed the 'ORIGINAL' game can go and play that...
Imo ico made people less cautious and teamwork quality is on decline since.
I still dont get it why devs can't just make ico like separate game mode, is it really that hard?
no cap
been asking same question since ico teaser
Yeah, to be clear as someone with 2,500 hours, version 6.0 and the mechanics change is why I deleted the game and refuse to play it in it's current state. This is not remotely the game I played for 6-7 years.
