Arma > Squad
Squad still has several unique features that no one else has managed to combine together in a camouflage first person shooter genre including but not limited to the logistics system, the user placed fortification and weapons emplacement system, the Random Advance And Secure game mode and the larger open world environments. So basically you're stuck with noodle arms and gravy vision until the developers walk it back.
Same here NOTHING out there the same, MEE and Galactic Mod that's bout it. I do DCS Helicopters and IL2 Sturmovik . I just reinstalled Arma3 to play some Prairie Fire.
You forgot to mention that Arma 3 has an outdated engine that doesn't utilize modern hardware, resulting in the game running like dogwater. Or that not everyone wants to be in some discord club to play a match.
Inb4 "squad runs poorly." It runs a heck of a lot better than Arma 3.
Also Arma 3 usually requires quite a few mods that need to be configured to achieve whatever you want and thats not realsitic for large scale play. It needs to be something simple to install.
What confuses me: Its been a few years since i last played the Arma Campaign, but as i remember weapon sway and adverse affects from movement when aiming have been even more pronounced in Arma 3 than in Squad post ICO. Did Arma get casualized at some point later in its development ?
Wouldn't that be great to have like 50 one-manned vehicles in a multiplayer round....
At least people that want to use them could ♥♥♥♥♥♥ use them. That's the main reason I quit playing this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game so quickly. I couldn't use vehicles, and noone would let me in their squad. Totally defeats the purpose. I've had more teamwork, coordination and communication from randoms in GTA Online than this dumbass game. The big advertised selling point is "teamwork" and "communication". Not my experience. Nobody said a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ word and I was left by myself in the middle of nowhere on foot. ♥♥♥♥ that. If I want to play a walking simulator for an hour I could just go outside.
Btw arma is not a jump@play game, so there is no matchmaking, before you can play any game properly, you need to find and join some unit/community.
I would rather them update the vehicle physics and kink out existing bugs tbh
