how to make the game looks better without cost of performance.

on 1440p monitor 4k setting in the game with dlss balance vs 1440p dlaa

for all gamers with rtx 40 and powerful rtx 30 series go with DSR in squad, nvide control panel->3D settings -> DSR factor 1.78 and 2.25. sharpen to 10%
after you do this setting go to ingame and set your resolution higher than your monitor can handle. set dlss to quality if you use the res 1.78 oder balance with the resolution 2.25

it gives you 30% sharper picture with more details, no impact on performance. see on the picture, best you zoom in. or try it in-game you will see it :)
if you normally play with 1080p or 1440p you can go with a higher resolution,
i have a 1440p monitor. but with DSR on i can go with a resolution to 4k. then use dlss Balance.
it will give you a much better picture than 1440p with DLAA only.
aswell nice for player on 1080p monitor.

I did use it but then setteled for the 125% resolution scale I can set in the game menu. I could run the game higher with the RTX 4080S but I don't feel like I need to. it's sharp af on my 1440p 27" monitor.

125 ress scale its not the same then dsr from n videa in Control panel.
with the 4080 super you can go with dldsr 2.25 = 4k ress and dlss quality.

pictures zoom in you need to zoom in.
one with drs2.25x 4k dlss quality on a 1440p monitor
the other normal 1440p with dlaa on a 1440p monitor
different story of sharp. ;) its like a wall hack :D
cost 0 performance.

Maybe it's the bad screenshot quality but my game looks better and sharper than this.
https://ibb.co/ZdNjsft
tried to hit the same angle as you did.

Not just are the colors better, I don't have the weird shadows, better viewing distance, better anti-aliasing and LOD.

It is because my 2 pictures are zoomed in to show better. Try it in the game, and you will see the difference.
activate dsr 2.25x Nvidia control panel and go with 4 k resolution setting in game, dlss quality.

My pictures are also zoomed in. And I already did use DSR in the past.
