I mean, DICE answered the call, zero suppression so stupid noobs can't suppress you so you can take out multiple squads with a single mag, and everything is a death ray laser, even the tanks don't have splash damage, it's paradise. Not sure why anyone's playing, but it's there if you guys want.

It's funny that 2042 is an objective disaster and somehow this little pack of loud sweats wants a smaller dev (who can't afford the risk like EA can) to follow in 2042's path exactly. That game is a braincell away from Killstreaks, don't let Squad fall for this insane turbo streamlined trap, it doesn't work.

Better something faithful and sustainable to PR than something soulless in a crowd, OCEAN, of endless soulless slop, the casual shooter space is waaaay too crowded and it would be stupid to step in as an established smaller dev.

Disaster? Lmao, Most mods WISH they could face the 'disaster' of still having a live and dedicated community 18 years after release, and still seeing regular content updates. Let alone for a game that, without the mod, doesn't even have functioning multiplayer anymore because it was based in Gamespy.

You're the one that brought up PR and called it a disaster when that's objectively stupid as hell of a claim.

And if it was the majority of players then how is Squad seeing more players than ever? Why are veterans returning to the game after years of having dropped it? Why is Squad getting huge boosts in viewership on sites like youtube, to overwhelmingly positive feedback? Why are the people that complain about the ICO doing so in dumpy videos with like 300 views and most of their comments being mockery?

Get real man, the crowd that wants Squad to be a boring, generic, cookie-cutter Battlefield clone is tiny compared to the people that actually enjoy having real firefights, where teamwork, communication, and tactics actually matter. Servers are absolutely packed even at hours where there shouldn't be that many people on for certain regions.

The haters just can't or won't learn new game mechanics and leave their twitch shooter safe space where every FPS looks and plays the exact same because it's designed for lowest denominators and 'mass appeal'. Most of the people complaining don't even know how stabilization works in the update and they have the nerve to sit there talking about gunplay.

Understand that no one is forcing you to play, but the ICO isn't going away. It was a long time coming. You had MONTHS to make your case against it during the playtests. This is what the majority of the community has wanted for years because squad is a TEAMWORK AND TACTICS GAME, NOT LASER TAG.
