this game doesnt have a cheating epidemic like Battlefield or COD get.. they really do a great job shutting that ♥♥♥♥ down right away and with easily 90% of servers having active admins if something weird is going on a simple ping to get their attention will allow them to actually make a decision
otherwise hearing footsteps and dropping people before they get the jump on you isnt out of the ordinary
When you see a blatant cheater- that's them cheat makers at work. That is how they playtest the cheat. And then you extra chromosome havin ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ get ran over by the ppl who buy the cheat, but are smart enough to not get caught :)
Before you respond, I know - hur dur you are salty; you are mad you hef ban; you are troll...
And then inevitably some of you farthuffers will post my CBL link ...
i dont see where im being short sighted.. i explained that if he has evidence he should report it
i also informed about how the ban lists work in Squad as i do have knowledge on how it works
i then offer a alternative to one of the instances he offered up as a possbile reason what he was experiencing
the fact that you have to resort to personal attacks instead of actually bringing anything intellectual to the conversations. Does lead me to believe you had a fit of rage while typing away as some way to stroke your ego as if your high and mighty. When nowhere in my comment was provoking. when you gather your breath hopefully youll reflect and see how badly you misjudged your response

I dont know if that study is accurate, or just BS. But I tend to believe it is true.
Whish they could get us a number for online gamers
But I bet, on any FPS games, there are at least 10% of the server using cheats.

How often do you use cheat tools on a multiplayer game:
12% Rarely
13% sometimes
9% answer often
3% always
1% prefers not to say... lol
Scaring... And thats back 2018
Lets do a stupid math
12% + 13% + 9% + 3% + 1% = 33%
average: at least 6.6% players uses cheats.
So me say that "on a server off 100, there will be at least 6 cheaters on everygame".
Really scaring
What ? Yesterday ?
It is highly unlikely that there are working cheats around just hours after a major update, or are you refering to times prior to the ICO Update ?
I cant absolutely confirm the 3 first guys I saw (altho I saw them standing in front of walls, and shooting from time to time)
But the last one, definitely was cheating. I observed him 5 minutes if no more. Always in the smae coumpound, firing thro walls.
Huh, maybe he found a spot with a faulty code where you can actually shoot through the wall and was exploiting it ?
Larger calibers CAN shoot through many walls btw, maybe he was hoping to score blind hits this way ?
I don't know, but it would be extremely unusual and surprising to see working cheats out just hours after a major update.
When you see stuff like that please inform the server admins right away, they have tools to do a more thorough investigation and can often find out if there was indeed cheating involved, if positive that player will be quickly banned and probably end up on the CBL, preventing him from playing on almost every Squad server.
The guy I named was with a SMG + RPG. He was shooting thro the coumponds we find in the small village maps - dont remember the map name. The walls are thik
But anyway, how can he see thro them?
i mean i wouldnt doubt people cheat
But like the article states they asked users who play single player games
even referencing Anno 1800 and Sims
id be amazed if anyone didnt cheat in a SP game at some point. Hell i have WeMod installed and mess around in Medieval 2 total war, and Wargame cause who doesnt like 200 abrams running at a poor t72 :P
No information about MMOs, like warcraft where they have drone bots and is a actual problem that Blizzard doesnt address or is unable to address
Or other MP games where BF and COD have had problems where the community asked for Private servers so they can self moderate which was the best solution even though EA/DICE refused till enough outcry happened
But regardless. The reason why i say its not such a epidemic is cause when COD or Battlefield have their cheating problems. Top creators of these games bring light to the issue and the solutions where never taken into account. Also note that when BF4 had its epidemic they were done on EA official servers. Not on Private owned servers where admins were active.
Squad anticheat is it great. No, is it really fast, no
but Chances of actually running into a cheater is very difficult, Mostly cause if someone mentions a cheater lets say for example in a LiQ server. You can guarantee a admin is already asking who what where and if you have video evidence.
and if you do and report them. And there is evidence of such They get banned. Their name modified on OWIs mainframe that they have where everyone server is linked to as far as cheating ban lists are concerned (racism and other bans are also listed but cheating does have its separate category) . As a admin you can visibly see who has been banned or not, why they were banned. and by who. as well as any evidence that has been linked to that individual. OWI does go through these. Those caught with 100% confidence are blacklisted immediately and that is updated regularly which also updates on Owner server side.
Your private server has parameters on what it will allow on set by of course the owners. (ban people who have cheated but let trolling banned people through)
The beautiful thing as a admin is that you can see while playing that on your browser highlighted names of people who have been banned and judge whether or not you need to keep a eye on them. Seeing people banned for trolling, name claim, cheating, etc etc.
Also VAC bans also play a part in preventing people from joining servers
Also note there is automatic bans (in some servers) where if you only have squad as your primary game you cant get in. (typically cheaters have a few free games and then 1 game they will cheat in, They wont risk losing a large library of video games. tends to happen on free weekends too)
Now not to drag this on for too long, I would just make sure to have shadow play, or some recording to have evidence of it. and report it right away to the server admins. Reports are taken seriously, OWI takes it seriously aswell and is proactive in their main discord hub for server owners and admins. Even pinging people to keep an eye out for X player or to manually updated their server blacklist with a updated list
the second study is about multiplayers :-)
Apologies. :)
I do still stand by most of what I said tho. IMO yours is a very gullible take on the whole thing.
Then again what the heck do I know :)
cheats on their own servers and abuses admin perms|
Just had several instances where dudes were not dying
their "Clan" all had 80+ kills to 1 or 0 deaths
as infantry in the middle of it all constantly
I can say I headshotted two of them with an SVD several times and nothing
Their LAV had 200+ to 0
and You know it is defo possible but this LAV was pre-firing into buildings through smoke
through fires and brush
I was in a building for 5 minutes laying down in the stairwell nobody was in there
or near, from across the map He starts prefiring into the top Doorway I was close to using
This happened to me several times and other players many times where the LAV just knew where they were. We had one building that I saw a friendly walk into from the back entrance and the LAV was 500m out to the front view of the building so you wouldn't see him enter
He was laying down and the LAV just started lobbing rounds into the windows on the 3rd floor as he was walking right onto the 3rd floor keep in mind not exposed to windows
There could be plenty of explanations for this
but the fact this kept seemingly happening is quite odd
I watched two RPGs hit their LAV in the turret
both from different directions and their Turret snap to target and kill both of them that retreated into alley ways. (Could be a cracked commander on Scope) highly doubt you would see both of them. I even fired one into his ass, Ran down an alley way and his rounds started hitting, the side of the walls
Well thats not really the topic of this thread to be honest.
I wouldnt call that cheating, but "abuse of power"
If it is happening always on the same server - it is to uncheck "favorite" star :-)
