After the Tactical Squad 6.0 update, what the hell did they do to infantry? I'm playing as an elite soldier on the battlefield, not me on the battlefield. Do I need to snort some Tarkov-style bright pills for recoil control before the match?
After the Tactical Squad 6.0 update, what the hell did they do to infantry? I'm playing as an elite soldier on the battlefield, not me on the battlefield. Do I need to snort some Tarkov-style bright pills for recoil control before the match? The aiming system is a mess; it's like a battle between Parkinson's and ALS. This game has always emphasized realism, so why not have a one-life mode? When you die, just deactivate your ID and re-register. People always use hardcore to cover up the fact that the game is becoming more and more sluggish with each update. Is this update really about balancing the classes? Is it trying to cater to the military or something? But the most frustrating thing is, do we really need that blurry nearsighted effect when someone shoots at you from five meters away on the other side of two walls?????????

It's called Squad, not Delta Green Beret Navy Seal Squad.

Trust me, if you haven't shot a gun, even an airsoft gun, you'd know how hard it is to hit a target at 50-100 meters without extensive training. Even when I was in the Army, I can't hit the 9-8-7 zone twice on a target with an AK-74M from more than 50 meters away. After the first shot, the sight goes 3-4 heights of the target up. Shooting with real weapons is not like in CoD, when you can put a bullet in a target the size of a coin, at a distance of 300-500 meters, after 10 minutes of running.Even just standing still and holding the weapon, it will take you 10-15 seconds to aim at the target.

My first impression is that Infantry alone is now too slow and unprecise over longer distance to do much on its own.

Combined arms is going to be king in the new meta i guess:

APC/IFV as the centerpiece, shooting stuff further away, infantry around it moving ahead and on the flanks mostly to have some protection and in turn protect the AFV against enemy AT trying to get close.

Longer distance travel no longer on foot, Infantry is too slow now for that.

Tanks cover APC/IFV and Infantry from a distance.

Thats actually roughly how it works in real life and its now the way to go in Squad, at least thats my first impression from a round of Gorodok.

This will require a lot of adaption both from seasoned Squad Leaders and Vehicle Crews who are used to be doing mostly their own thing in the old meta and only occasionally working together directly.

Oh right, and as a singly Infantryman running alone you are totally useless now, movement speed is slow and you won't be able to do much alone on foot.

Squad cohesion and Squad-Vehicle coordination is going to be what wins rounds and enables successful assaults in the new "meta" that will come up.

Youre not an elite soldier.

youre playing as a regular normal infantryman lmao.

Unless youre MARSOC, delta... navy seals (all spec ops or a higher tier unit) ... the average infantryman is just some kid who only gets to shoot live rounds usually once a month IF THAT. Most of the time its lame ass blanks and just dry fire lmao.

This fits the game perfectly.

I very much enjoy squad. I really hate the fact I have to redo all the mouse sensitivity and if I try to make it like it use to be.... well it just ain't... so it's basically a new muscle memory adventure..... man after so many hours.... that's the last thing I need or want... from a first person shooter....

I feel the overhaul was not thoroughly thought on that aspect. I know for a fact I'm Going to need to spend at least multiple hours (3-8) in jensen range to optimise every individual scope

It was never intended to be run and gun CoD style, lost its way over time. Now its teamplay and suppression. Thumbs up from me

But this is not the reason for game developers to do this. I once served in the Chinese army. I held a steel gun and carried a load of five kilometers. I never trembled like Parkinson's disease when shooting continuously like in the game. The muzzle of this gun The jump is simply exaggerated to the point of being ridiculous. We have also been bombarded by .20 caliber cannons and heard 5.56mm bullets whizzing by. This shocking effect in the game can only be achieved by shooting with a caliber of 60mm or above. Do developers think that soldiers are You are so fragile that you have no power to restrain the chicken.

The best answer !!!

I like what they've done but

- The Sway is overkill even in full stamina, we're playing trained soldiers, we shouldn't fight against our weapon because we ran 1-3 sec then crouched and you take 10 sec to be stable... it's too much. Even light weapons (SMGs and pistols) have problems.

- The G3 is the most unplayable weapon in the game right now, too much of EVERYTHING! We've gone from a weapon that's hard to play but very powerful to a weapon that recoils too much and getting the 2nd shot is almost impossible.

irl it doesnt take 5 seconds to aim down your rifle. if a rifle is correctly zeroed you should be key holing shots from 50 metres away
