The Squad has it.
That's literally the name of the game mode. Insurgency. You can filter nothing but Insurgency in the server browser however nobody hosts it typically because its so one sided towards the attackers.
The mode usually didn't get played because of lots of issues. Somtimes the cache system won'T funtion proberly and at the balance front they made three huge mistakes.
First the Insurgents have finite tickets. Secondly the Insurgents don't have any asymetric counters against the modern bluefore faction and need some booby traps against infantry, suicide cars with C4 and suicide trucks with bombs that anihilate anything in their blast radius including FOBS.
The third one is the biggest Problem the weapon cache doesn't ressuply the Insurgents.
Bluefor limited Ammo with high maginication make every shot count.
Insurgents nearly Infinite Ammo and Tickets, they swarm in numbers and fire everything in their preposal and use the very limited suicide vehicles to achieve breakthroughs.
None of the above are in Squad and thats why it didn't get played. It plays just like AAS but worse.
Cool, so its exists but not played... Plus from what I can see its nothing like its used to be.
Well That is the point , nothing like it was, sounds terrible and unplayable.
How the hell did the makers of the mode manage to screw up their own recipe?! Well, rest in peace my favorite game mode...
I don't believe it was ever finalized, more like something that would be further iterated upon but never was. A couple years back the developers had planned on an insurgency overhaul that would have been paired with the insurgent rework (update that added the hell cannon and new pickup trucks) but nothing has been heard about that since.
