Why is only " ! 1 ! " Server showing up?

i have not played this for at least 2 years. used to be a Squad vet before.
now when i try to play again only 1 server shows up... "ye ye i have checked filters, its not it"..

yes, and the one server i tried to join 3 times, everytime the map loaded in i was kicked out and it said "host have closed the server".

I have the same issue from time to time. Whenever I am in the server browser, it DDOS's my router with many requests which causes it to crash, and then I lose internet connection and or see very few servers. Haven't found a proper fix. Try restarting your router or the game. Let me know if you find a fix.

restarted the game several times , tried to reinstall it aswell, still the same. only shows 1 server. joining it kicks me out as soon as the map loads.

You might need to clear your game cache if it's been that long, assuming you haven't reinstalled Windows at some point. There's an option to do this in-game in the settings, or you can just delete "C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Local\SquadGame". Maybe you have old files leftover from the last time you played causing issues? OWI recommends clearing the cache pretty much with every update.

Additionally, if you are subscribed to any mods on the Workshop, try unsubscribing from them. They are probably outdated and can cause issues.

i see.. well i reinstalled the game just the day before i wrote this.. so its fully reinstalled already.. and i use no mods..

Installing/uninstalling Squad doesn't affect the game cache folder in AppData, so if you were playing 2 years ago, uninstalled, and now you've reinstalled, the game's cache would remain untouched without manual intervention (deleting SquadGame in AppData, resetting cache from the in-game settings menu, reinstalling Windows, etc.).

Try deleting that folder if you haven't already ("C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Local\SquadGame"). This will reset all your settings, but will give you a true "clean" install of the game. I'm not sure if this will fix your specific issue, but it's a good place to start. "Clear cache" is a common troubleshooting tip for this game, and is generally recommended by the developers themselves whenever a new update comes out.

you have to go into the settings on steam and change the ping settings that should fix the issue with only a few servers showing up
