Almost all maxed out, shadows on medium I get 100FPS average in a full night playing.
Thank you for your feedback. I also figured that the shadows are heavy consumer. Also do you reduce AA to high?
AA is maxed, 16x

in squad dx12 is so poorly developed its not useable at all. dont even bother to try it. it will remain like that for a long time. just go with dx11 and be aware that squad has critical bugs that drop fps. its not your rig its the game. dont get fooled by individuals like radegast. he goes into every thread harassing other people with nonsensical advice. same applies to maki nishikino. these guys have zero clue.
optimize your ram with ryzen dram calc, thats all you really need. everything else you can leave on default: keep your bios updated, load optimized defaults from bios, then just optimize your ram with the values you get from ryzen dram clac or load its xmp profile.

main reasons for low fps

exactly that. extremely poor development on the one side and users that are completely desensitized and detached from reality on the other.
I spent a lot of time trying to tweak settings to get the game to run at a solid 60 without drops. Even at 1080p mostly medium settings I still got drops here and there, and the game just generally felt sluggish. Seemed odd considering the graphical quality of this game. Saw some suggestions to try DX11, figured worth a try and maybe I'd get an extra 5 frames. Instead it's like a completely different game. Running 1440p, high settings except shadows, smooth 60, moving/aiming feels more fluid. It's quite drastic.
IMO DX11 should just be the default setting until DX12 is improved. Granted this is just my experience, but with how often I see it suggested clearly it isn't just me.
Most important you find always some bottleneck. Nobody cares fir MB for example.
What can i tell you? PC is like his owner. I play from SEGA console and 386, problem to solve is always what your OS is doing, drivers... When i see YT channels, it seems to me that now everybody cares more about LED Colours.
Start with service manager what service runs while you open the game. Most MB SW should clear VRAM, close some app) when runing game. Check SW starting automatically by getting to Windows.
By the way, RIG spects are pretty good for gaming and not overkill price.
I don't think the dude specifically built his setup just to run Squad lol. I have as 4080 maxed out at 4k and it runs 100+ fps.
