Squad
Buying a new PC soon, but I'm not rich
So tell me, my dudes, will RTX 4060 Ti and AMD Ryzen 5 7600X be enough to play Squad at max settings in 1080p and at stable 60 fps?

You should be fine, thats a strong system for Squad even in its unoptimized state. You may need to tweak a few settings but nothing that'll be terribly obvious

Try to search for a 6700xt or a 6800, they are cheaper, have more vram and are stronger than the trash 4060 ti (a rebranded 4050 ti with a pathetic 128bit bus and only 8gb vram that is way too small even for 1080p gaming for the price of the xx70 tear from nvidia).

I play on a 6700xt, 5800x @4.5ghz all core (4.85ghz single core), 32gb of ddr4 3600mhz ddr4 installed on a nvme gen 4 ssd because i get better performance for some reason, with less stutter then on my sata ssd

as you know the game is still badly optimised, regardless of what cpu you get you will not get more than 120fps. I play mostly on high settings with medium shadows and ultra textures (some maps are bugged and the shadows cause a large gpu utilisation spike because of badly done LOD configuration) and get about 100 to 120fps on a full server becouse of a engen limit, my gpu is not getting 100% gpu utilisation ( it doesn't even want to boost to its normal clock speed because the gpu utilisation is to low - power saving )

i would recommend to shop for a 8 core 7700x and 32gb of ddr5 ram because you will end up using the windows pagefile because 8gb vram isn´t enough vram even at 1080p

i often see 11 gb of vram usage on my 6700xt, so i would recommend to shop for a card that has at least 12 gb of vram (16 gb would be perfect like on the 6800 or 6800xt )

even gamers nexus made fun of the card because it is overpriced af and way to weak, here is a detailed review so you get more info about it

you don't need over 3xxx,4xxx GPU for 1080p save your money just buy 2070, 2070 is enough for 1080p no problem at all in 5years i can garaunte.

and plus you don't need 32gb ram buy 16gb first and you think it is not enough then you can buy another 16gb.

Getting 32Gb now will potentially mitigate on a future bottleneck so no harm in investing in that much now, plus memory isn't that expensive atm compared to other components.

I play on a 2070 super with an I5 9600k and 32 gb of ram. 1080 does NOT use all the 8gb vram on the card and my sys plays Squad lovely.

Easly. I have 3070 (nearly same perfomance as 3060ti) and i9-11900K (on single core perfomance you win here)

Also I've got 16gb ram @3600 ( no issue with ram capping)

I play on 1080p upscaled to 4k and i play at 90+ stable (on max setting dips to 80 sometimes)

Make sure you get water cooling for cpu tho so it wont throttle - instead of 32 gb of ram get 16 and add bit more $€£ and get water cooler.
This is mainly cpu game - so keep it as cool as possible

gaming at 60 fps is against the law in most countrys i thought? 60 fps =choppy and that can lead to brain anerysms and burning eyeballs is a common issue at 60 fps
