Squad needs to Dump the Squad Community Ban List.

After playing squad for 5+ years, you start to build up false bans after a while, especially on a gaming streak from admins who don't necessarily appreciate you. All For One servers I was banned for Mortaring Teammates because a troll was giving me false coordinates, and he was a squad lead which is the worst part. eXodus banned me for "unknown" but I remember because I joined after a Streamer joined, and a moderator I guess didn't appreciate us messing around with the streamer even though there was barely 30 people on. 56 Canadian Gaming banned me because i stole a vehicle from a teammate because if I DIDN'T, one of our HABS would've ran out of ammo and couldn't defend the front no longer.

The United Front banned me for being "toxic" because i made a joke about the Ukrainian war while we were playing insurgency. I don't remember the other servers ban reason but I never play intentionally toxic. Sometimes I mess around but only if I'm hanging with a good light hearted squad. And because of these ridiculous reasons, I am banned from at LEAST 80% of servers because Squad Community Ban List gives the power to ban people from basically the whole game to 12 year old's. I genuinely enjoy this game, but this is going to ruin it genuinely like it did with other games that tried to implement a global ban list. Others tried to get around the ban by getting an alt account, but I'm not doing that because it shows how much I care about this, and I do not want to get scammed.

This is no at all hate towards the game, I really love squad but this upsets me most. At LEAST implement a tag to filter out servers with this corrupt ban list.

EDIT: I don't know why some people are personally offended by this post. Sorry if you've been teamkilled before or dealt with toxic people. It happens but that still doesn't excuse that SCBL is a fairytale failure of a "automated moderation".

Believe me I would LOOOOVE for every session to be globally recorded. But you are right and wrong. The point is, players with so many hours, not guaranteed but it is much more likely you will run into bad administrators, and get a few bans especially if you play on multiple servers within a small amount of time.

Also another flaw in the SCBL system is even EXPIRED bans, bans that have been inactive for years still keep you SCBL banned.

Dawg, I have over 2500 hours on this game, and have been playing since alpha release in 2015. I have not run into a single bad admin. That's standpoint logic, I admit, but the chances of a single player running into MULTIPLE toxic admins, especially when they're simply hours apart, is unconvincing.

Of course your profile is set to private, so I can't see how many hours you have in game. I'm willing to bet I have more hours than you though... Never seen a badmin, yet I hear about them soooooooo much from people on the banlist LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Look, I neither got banned nor got kicked nor rocked high hour counts yet I agree the CBL is unreliable and open for abuse. Thinking otherwise is living a fairy tale, this is internet bruh. Just check the Gmod and imagine there is a gmod CBL with all those badmins. Isn't a good idea is it?

They either gotta supervise the bans and work onto making system more reliable (like putting countermeasures for admin abuse, demanding evidence for each CBL worthy bans, making it only work for serious offenses like trolling, cheating, hacking etc) OR remove the system entirely because it sounds so unreliable it just takes a guy to caught in wrath of a badmin and it will take so much time to improve on the system, the players would get frustrated and leave the game entirely.

You do know people can provide evidence of badmins to OWI and have their server removed from the list right?

I'm sure you know that otherwise this post wouldn't exist at all...

M8, OWI being able to remove the servers from the lists by reporting AND badmin issue is entirely different. Even if admin recruitment policy becomes solid or OWI cracks down on bad servers, doesn't mean it will stop the existence of people misusing their powers as admins. Even so, even excellent admins can do misjudgements sooo

Also dunno where you are taking this conversation to. We are talking about CBL, not OWI's mighty power to banish servers to afterlife

the only people who are beat up about people not wanting this are the people who like to get others banned for small mistakes that a player could make ( notably newer players to the genre or game ) . Yes trolling happens, no you can't ban all of them, and the only people who are suffering due to this are the newer less experienced lot who get severely punished for team killing on accident or something along the lines. This is a game at the end of the day, it does not matter if you have to wait 30 seconds to respawn.

I've played on their server a lot and the only bans I've seen are for cheaters or the occasional child ♥♥♥♥ talking the admin for them telling them to follow the server rules. Eventually the admin gets tired of it...which usually takes about 5-10 minutes, gives the player several warning over the course of that...then bans them.

Guessing you fell into that second category.
