Same crashing on startup with Windows 8.
After reinstalling the game, same crash is happening.
Im sooooooo sad of this ....
There is no update without a problem and u have to read community guides to figure it out by ur own.
Please remove from game.
The same has happened with buildable objects (for example HASCO walls and HASCO bunkers.
For some reason these objects are not Replicated properly to players who have just connected to the game.
You do not meet the Minimum Requirements.
You need Windows 10.
type: Crash on start up
desc: Untrusted system file, this game worked fine yesterday, after the update i cant even start the game
reproduction steps: start the game
Type: horrible handling of computer resources, poor optimization
Description: at low/medium/high/epic/ultra graphics settings my GTX 1660 Super is between 30-60% utilization (which is not normal). My CPU has no load on it at all (about 10-20% even in the most demanding scenes on ultra particle and effects settings). Is it so hard to do multi-threaded CPU cores in 2023 on a not so old version of UE? "Saved" only by turning on raising the render resolution to 150-200% (then FPS rises from 40-50 to 70-90). Both on DX11 and DX12. Please fix the most adequate engine on the market, no game on a related version of UE does not have these problems, except in Squad. Before the update there were no such problems at all.
DX12 itself greatly spoils the picture, the game is absolutely unstable on it, crashes, blinking textures, shadow rendering, sprites from shots.
Why on public test everything was fine? Please fix the game already, you use the most powerful and advanced game engine, why the game is so bad technically?
I don't recognize the developers of Project Reality.
OWI don't have enough guys in the QA department? Drop me a link to my LinkedIN?
I have 5 years of QA experience in various areas both WEB and gamedev. I can lift the entire testing process from 0 and fire all the clumsy developers and project managers? (if you have them at all).
Instead of releasing second-rate animations, take care of quality control of your product, you could very quickly lose all your core audience that you've been gaining in PJ for so long and gained with the Squad release.
I'm willing to buy Squad again, but only if it has good optimization. Even with 100500 animations/anime skins on weapons/furi costumes on Squadleaders.
I understand that investors want final reports after the sale of DLC, you'll have them(bought these animations even those who originally said that this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and will kill the game). But investors don't care how successful you are in terms of player feedback. I'm not judging you for moving away from your "there will never be monetization in the game" dogma. But I do condemn you for the terrible quality of the game itself. I hope it works out for you and you get better very soon.
Specs: Win 10, Intel Xeon E5 2770 V3, Nvidia GTX 1660 Super, 16gb RAM, 1080p.
Intel Xeon is a server/workstation CPU, not a gaming one. I have such a workstation myself.
Your CPU's base frequency is the "whooping" 2.3 GHz, and Max turbo Freq 3.1 GHz.
You need a CPU with a base clock of at least 3.6-3.7 GHz which boosts up to at least 4.2-4.4.
Also your CPU's max memory frequency is just 2133 MHz. I suggest a DDR4 running at least 3200 at CL 16 in dual channel mode.
As for the GPU I cannot comment, I have no experience with it.
This version of Unreal Engine favours high frequency CPU, rather than high number of cores. (for questions regarding this I suggest you go to Epic's forums).
I agree with your statement that the game needs further optimization.
okay, I agree that 3.1 hertz is not enough in our reality now (although I don't experience such problems in other games, well, okay, we're not talking about other games, but about Squad) let me run on my second PC with ryzen 5700 and rtx 2070ti. I see better performance there, but still with the same problems (yes, the 2070ti produces about the same FPS, 20 frames higher on average). But the situation with the allocation of computer resources is the same. Again, the processor is idle around 30-40 percent (and again not all cores are loaded, but only 2-3. The video card is again loaded at a maximum of 40-50. I turn on the upscale render and wow, the cherished 120+ frames) RAM 32 gigabytes, dual channel, DDR4 3666 CL 17.
And there are many such examples, go to the servers, ask around in voice chat. People have much more productive machines that face such problems.
Type : on any map, but mostly visible on those that have buildings.
Description : a lot of flickering on buildings, and some tearing in the sky.
What worked for me :
In my GPU Control panel (NVIDIA), I turned off the maximum FPS I had set (72). It would seem that the FPS cap from NVIDIA conflicts with the FPS cap in Squad's settings (set to 80). I also have a FPS cap set by ASUS GPU Tweak III (set to 82), but the issue stopped when removing the one from the GPU Control Panel (which is abnormal, as the ASUS software cap usually has precedence).
Changing AA and Shadows in all sorts of ways did not stop the flickering and odd tearing in the sky (at least not live on the spot). I use Low AA (and set to 4) and Low Shadows, but I tried all other options to no effect. The other settings are set to High.
GPU : GTX 1660TI (6GB), which is equivalent to 2060 but without the RTX chip.
Performance : over 70 FPS (mostly High settings).
Ps: I did not flush the game's cache, because it zaps all my keybinds. So it could be that actually that refreshed after a few matches. Resetting all my Gameplay and Graphics settings was enough, so I did not additionally flush the cache. I see no reason why that function should zap all our keybindings by the way and other settings.
I am a pixel sniping irons/dot ♥♥♥♥♥.
Ryzen 7 5700x, RTX2080ti, 16Gb ram memory, Ultra Gear 27" 165hz Monitor.
It is happening in attempts to join any server in this game.

Wouldn't mind dropping money on emotes to help fund development, but the game should probably continue to work on public releases...
