What a nonsense. I switched from 3700X to 5800X3D a few months ago and since then have up to 50% more FPS on average (and better lows) in many games, including Squad. 1440p.
PS: On one map in EFT (Escape from Tarkov), the FPS even almost doubled. However, there are also games like Warhammer (II or III) that only benefit slightly.
I'm specifically talking about Squad and nothing but Squad. Game engines are all different and allocate ressources/use CPU threads differently. Some are more sensitive to memory latencies than others, explaining why you benefited from upgrading to an X3D CPU.
Squad introduces some very serious CPU bottlenecking by being almost entirely singlethreaded, there's nothing that can be done on a hardware level to change this.
Congrats for taking my quote out of context and arguing using other games and a Zen 2 CPU as an example...
with my 2070 super and 5600x I get about 70, sometimes 85 fps and even in the 110 fps depends on the map and stuff

I got a 2070 super, 5600x, 16gb, m.2 and my squad plays fine with stutters at times
5800x 3d its 30% faster then the 5600x in to squad. 99% of the time over 80 fps.

with cap frame you can test how many fps you have on the map

I had a 5600x at some point and 55fps is normal in some areas during a busy firefight.
r5 5600 with 3060Ti here game runs well almost always 60+fps high settings
Did you read what I wrote? I wrote "including Squad". The FPS in Squad have increased by about 50% (3700X > 5800X3D). Very often I get stable 138 FPS (= my cap), on some maps there are many drops.
I pointed out the general performance gain and provided 2 further examples because the OP is interested in buying a new CPU, but you seem to have overlooked that as well.
