mic not working at all

so my mic isnt working. its showing that i speak but noone hears me. i have the only mic on, its default, i tried 48000 hz and 44100 hz both. though it seems that the engine itself has problems with my mic for whatever reason. I updated (more like reinstalled) my realtek drivers, reinstalled the game,have latest nvidia driver. NOTHING HELPS. i cant play squad like that, i need ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ help, i have no idea what to do anymore.

First thing to check, does the microphone work in windows

Start menu > settings > sound > check microphone

second thing to check, your +DB boost, if it too low, people may not hear you

Start menu > settings > sound > input device properties > Additional device properties > Levels tab

I'm not gonna ask if your mic has a mute button, because you've checked that already, I would hope

Once you are seeing audio levels in your microphone sound level, you want to fine tune this so a) you are not deafening people with distorted noise, and b) that its not too low that nobody can hear you

If its an Astro headset (such as Astro A50) its a problem with the game since the latest update.

i have 20db+ so its not the issue. i did try to amp it to 30 but it didnt affect it at all

i have the same issue , mic shows its working on windows mic test , steam mic test , works with discord and every other multiplayer game i play , have uninstalled / reinstalled game , verified files have checked every option i can find or think off and still have this problem . have tried with 2 different types of headsets , one wireless turtle beach set and one wired razer set ,have been through every option i can find with both and still nothing , so if anyone can help it would be really appreciated

a40's also having this problem. Everyone go and report bugs on OWI discord, steam page, and website. Maybe they will hurry up a hotfix for it.

Same for me, mic works everywhere but Squad...Steel Series Arctic Pro, tried all the above solutions...
Btw it shows on my end when I speak blue icon on left but other people can't even see it

Same, it shows that my mic is queuing but other people don't see the mic queue.

We all need to be reporting this bug, and raising hell about it on their discord. Too much of the community is (albeit stupid and early) writing off this issue as 'non-existent'. Get noisy with this. Keep making your own steam discussion topics about it. Be specific. OWI will see it.
