How to accurately range my target?

Lately Ive been having trouble being able to tell how far an enemy is and I end up missing almost every shot by just trying to get the right range.

This would be for your regular rifles with acogs on them.

use the lines on the acog scope to judge. 100 to 300 range you will get used to without having to range.

Since the rifle is set at 100m by default how would i mesure a target that is further away to know how much to adjust since in the top video, it was the red part of the sight seems to be set at 300m
