SQUAD DOWN ON GEFORCE NOW

What is the deal here? I have not heard any news or announcements from Offworld Industries on the Geforce Now issue. No news updates, no nothing.

As of this writing SQUAD is not available for players on the Geforce Now platform. And not a word has been spoken from the dev on this matter. Utter ...Silence, nothing. Why?

People have purchased the game and are not able to play or they have the game and been like WTF for the past 3 days.

HOW DO YOU GO OFFLINE on GFN for such a long period of time, and not a whisper in sight.

If you added a new version of Easy Anti-cheat and its messing up the geforce now rigs. State that fact to your player base. if this is the case does it mean it will take a couple months to fix?

I have NEVER seen a game down for such a long time, "offline on maintenance" without a word being said about it.

ANY dev, anyone at all, willing to shed some light on WTF is going on?

Yeah this is a bummer. I actually signed up to geforce now hoping to avoid a game breaking performance issue in proton. Several hoops later I find the game is offline.

I genuinely don't know what is going on with OWI this past year. Time after time they absolutely fail to do the bare minimum when it comes to communication. I've come to expect nothing from them in this regard. Unless its a changelog every couple of months, a day before an update, you aren't going to get any kind of public announcement from them.

to be fair, geforce now is an issue to a fraction of the playerbase, their absence barely noticable to anyone. i get that u are upset, but i'd rather have them adress more pressing matters

indeed, been in talks with GFN tech support past few days, they are amazing and awesome response time, unlike OWI.

The info I gathered thru discussions with GFN is that they are apologetic to their customers effected by the offline issue, there is a large number of players not able to boot up the game thru their services. GFN has implied that it is a OWI problem, which started with the new patch update, they wouldn't go into more details.

To be honest it rather discusting to observe the amount of none existent info on the issue from OWI, you would expect a lowest amount of effort to at least acknowledge a problem exist. GeForce Now tech support shouldn't be forced to express regret and apologize to their customer base on behalf of OWI. Yet, thats what is happening.

If there is any OWI dev reading this. Take some responsibility, ...seriously.

Don't go crying to game devs when your cloud pc gaming doesn't work properly. Go buy a computer that can run the games you want to play. GFN tech support gave you absolutely nothing but played a blame game so stop putting them on some sort of pedestal.

Nvidia told the guy that there was nothing they could do until OWI fixed the issue. What the heck were they supposed to do here? I really don't get how this is playing the blame game. That at least implies that some fault may lay at the feet of Nvidia when that doesn't appear to be the case. From all available evidence, it looks like OWI just released a patch that didn't agree with Geforce Now and hasn't made any public mention of the issue. It isn't on Nvidia to fix the game, only to provide the service.

Seems to me that you are the one doing the blaming here. Guy complains of an issue with the game, one that wasn't there prior to the update, and you tell him, "dude just go buy a PC."

It isn't even as if this is an isolated incident either. OWI has consistently been inconsistent with their communications since the beginning of the year, and gradually less and less so before then. We had the 2.12 update that brought absolutely terrible performance to many that has been almost completely forgotten as it seems. All we heard was, "we are looking into it" then silence for months. Screwing up an update is understandable, as long as you know they are working on a fix or are at least aware of the issue you can cut them a little slack, but when there absolutely zero information on the issue one way or another then its a whole different story.

I am unable to even get to the title screen. It fails to load it on launch every time meaning that I cannot even play the game.
Yes, I have unsubscribed from all mods.
Yes, I have fresh installed.
Yes, I have restarted my computer
Yes, I have validated my files.

The problem is most likely that I have geforce. I cannot play a game that I have dumped 1k hours into.
Please fix.

Week later Squad still down on GFN. Still no sound from OWI, Amazing, just amazing communication. LIke wtf at this point.

I'm extremely doubtful we will ever see this game on UE5. Nothing that we have seen out of the developers over the years would lead me to think that this would be reasonable to expect of them.

IDK, i saw in the epic game store app that devs can easily transfer from UE4 to UE5 easily so maybe they are working on it, but it's probably 60% workable with this game.

I'm suspecting that the transfer would be from a more up to date version of UE4 to achieve that percentage.

3 weeks later, still NO WORD from OWI on the GFN issue, NO NEWS, NO UPDATES, NOT EVEN A FAKING TWITT, from OWI.

Like wtf are u ppl doing? is this how communicate with your player base? is this how you promised to better yourself ON YOUR PAGE?

3 WEEKS, F*Cking 3 weeek later and SQUAD is still down on GFN, and ppl are having game issues with crash and woot not. Devs get your head out of your A$$.
