First setting up your machinegun...like 8 times before the bipod actually works and set up right....very frustrating
Then your buddy goes down and the medic is no where around.
You run over to drag him to safety.....press F 10 times before you can actyally grab him.
When you finally get him to cover...use your bandage ...like 5 times before you actually start to "heal" him..or her
Then the whole thing starts again with setting up your bipod......succes!.....then your hear your budd say ".. hey man Im down again, can you get me up" .....aaaaarrrgggghhhh
Not the games that don't require an actual setup button. They are far and few between, but there are some games that give "bipod" status whenever the character is prone (after x seconds) or the hands are in proximity of a "bipod" surface. Of course usually when this is made to work the bipod is always opened up and there is no animation for the change...just a little icon or something in the corner. In all fairness, this system makes more sense than the one used in Squad from a "realism" standpoint, but not sure how it would play out for gameplay balance.
Lol really, cause I find them to be worse than Squad. Half the time it buries the player view under the terrain er whatever or says you can setup, but then doesn't and end up stuck in hipfire mode.
Most games have a tendency to lock the player into either poorly positioned supported views, OR as you described, mess up the view completely.
ANyone played with the new sandbag lines that can be constructed (in Squad)? The prone position is useless lol.
I'm dying on hill Geebus, I don't think there's a game that gets bipods 100% right.
