with this settings the gtx 1080 gpu can allways have +60 fps. the limit of my cpu i7 4790k / R 5 1600x its that the cpu make fps drops to 40 fps. why i recomend this settings. res sacale 120 give more sharpen image better looking in 1080p.
ther other settings on high not limit the gpu. the settings on low give you more min fps because helps the cpu.
set audio quality to low-> no impact. no better fps.
disable tesselation--> cost performance and bring no better look. yes disable
contact shadows and screen space ao. set shadow and ao quality to medium.
-->cost 5-10fps min. do not do that. set shadows to low.
you can also try to run the game with -dx12 launch parameter --> brings nothink, not with gtx 1080. newer gpus can try it.
theoretically your hardware should be capable enough to run the game with high quality preset provided your bios and os are optimally configured. be aware that there are bugs currently that can reduce performance by up 50% or more.
--> wrong its to slow cpu. drops to 40 fps are normal.
same with games like bf 2042 drops to 40 fps. CP 2044 drops to 45 fps With this old cpus.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpOErkBzOx0 time:6 min =drops to 40 fps with gpu only loading 50% because of cpu limit.
ps, in your picture you use motion blur :D
your tips are not worth anything
dont come after me please with your poor english. neither you understand what youre talking about nor what i said. your settings simply make the game look like crap and do nothing to the fps. now youre mad because youre running a ddr3 system and recommed people upgrades for stuff that only helps to burn more power on the electricity bill when the majority of threads clearly show whats up with that. dx12 and low quality sounds reduce load on the cpu. dx12 and vulkan were introduced especially to help with old cpus and not new gpus. the majority of squads graphic settings are gpu intensive. actually the game is mainly gpu bound and not the other way around. the drops in squad and bf2042 are because those games have severe bugs and its not because the hardware is too bad to run the game. so you dont make any sense at all. and if you come here to attack others personally because you are jelly instead of talking on the issue dont come here at all.
set shadow to low and post processing give 5-10 fps more. the question was: Bad Fps not bad look. but yea motion blur looks great in MP.
i am never in gpu limit. only loading max 80% why i am in cpu limit.
now youre mad because youre running a ddr3 system and recommed people upgrades for stuff that only helps to burn more power on the electricity bill when the majority of threads clearly show whats up with that.
better cpu and you have all the time +80 fps look video r 5800x 3D with 50 watt.
ddr3 ore ddr4 timings important for gaming. 2200 mghz: cl 10 =220
3600mghz: cl16 =225 more important are yes mghz . but timings alsow imoprtant for gaming. same with ddr 5 it will only give perfomance if you have fast mghz and low latenz. why slow ddr5 are slower then fast ddr 4. ;)
dx12 and low quality sounds reduce load on the cpu. dx12 and vulkan were introduced especially to help with old cpus and not new gpus.
maby but it have no impact to r 1600, low sound only helt with the old AMD FX-8...
the majority of squads graphic settings are gpu intensive. actually the game is mainly gpu bound and not the other way around.
such statements make me toxic. when people talk garbage.
you say in one sentence the graphics settings have mainly influence on the graphics card who would have thought. and then you think the graphics card would be to blame for low fps.
explain to me why you do not get more or less fps when you change the graphics settings that mainly demand the gpu...
the drops in squad and bf2042 are because those games have severe bugs and its not because the hardware is too bad to run the game.
you are right. all people play bf 2042 with 50 fps max because of server bugs :D :D :D
and with r 5800x 3D you will not have dobble the fps in squad. from 4790k ore r1600x updatet.
so you dont make any sense at all. and if you come here to attack others personally because you are jelly instead of talking on the issue dont come here at all.
talk no garbage and i am a nice guy :)
you are toxic by nature and not nice at all. get a grip or get lost.

How much perf can i expect with this cpu upgrade. 6900xt 1440p. x3d worth it ?
I switched from a 3700X to a 5800X3D. The performance gain is huge - in almost every game. In another discussion regarding Squad I wrote:
"There are not many maps where the performance drops significantly. On a few maps my average FPS can go down to ~110. On most maps, however, I play with rather stable ~130-138 FPS (138 = my cap with Ultra Low Latency on). The 5800X3D is a great CPU for gaming. Almost everything maxed out, only shadows on high, post-processing on low (I do not like it), and tessellation off (causing performance issues). 1440p @ 144Hz, RTX 3070, 32 GB RAM, DX11."
:) yes i play 1600h squad with this cpu :) but next year i will update. right now monitor 1080p only can do 60 fps. and bf 2042 its boring why i not update jet.
45-60 FPS i alsow have.
Your CPU isn't enough for Squad. The game has optimization issues, and the majority of maps are very difficult to render for most CPUs. It's not because your CPU is garbage, it's because there are just way too many elements to render. And when you combine this with active players (100 player servers and extreme combat zones), the CPU fails to perform decent under extreme stress. I played this game with i5 4460 had encountered extremely difficult situations. My fps dipped below 10 whenever an APC or two rolled up into a cap zone. There were moments where I couldn't even react to the enemy because of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ performance. There were times where I had 60-80 FPS, and there were times where I had 15-20 FPS. I totally understand you.
If you want to play this game without encountering any issues, you have to buy the best hardware on the market. It's very obvious that they are not going to optimize the game. They are not even upgrading their game engine to the latest version.
If you don't want to spend a fortune just to play this game, all I can advise is putting some of the pressure on your GPU. Crank up the graphics (not all of them, just some of them) and let it handle the process along with your CPU. Also, try to play the game on fullscreen only. And also, Discord used to cause trouble for my old CPU, so If you aren't playing with your friends, consider closing it.
