BTR vs Styker
? do they both have 30mm cannons? which gun is more powerful and which has more health, which do you find personally better? I feel like they do the same but the games devs probably didnt make them the exact same vehicles....

Edit:i learned via squad wiki about the different guns...now when people say "BTR!" is it the 30mm or the 14.5? Also how can you tell visually (not the icon), and is a stryker doomed if the btr find the stryker first and or starts firing at the same time? If so what does it take to kill it? Also opinions on which you like better and why

So btw it looks like the M2 Bradley is gonna be launched do we think it will be THE counter to btr 30mm

Stryker has a 12.7mm
BTR-82A has a 30mm

I think the BTR has slightly less health than the Stryker but it has a lot more firepower with the 30mm so it should win head to head with a Stryker.

The BTR-80 has a 14.5mm but it needs to reload in order to take down a Stryker.

Normally people refer to the BTR 30mm as "30mm" and the BTR 14.5 as "BTR".
Visually the 30mm turret is a lot bigger than the 14.5mm.

I actually prefer the Stryker because it feels more responsive when driving and it can climb small walls etc. plus it can withstand 3 LAT hits and the 12.7mm is good vs both vehicles and infantry.

rule of "thumb"

BTR30 vs 1Stryker --> BTR30 wins ( probably down to 50% health if direct contact )

BTR30 vs 1Stryker /1MRAP --> BTR30 looses

BTR vs 1Stryker --> BTR looses

2BTR vs 1Stryker --> 1BTR wins 1Might be lost ,Stryker ded

1MRAP vs 1BTR --> MRAP looses ( same with a techi50 IF the MRAP dosent get a good shot at it )

2MRAP vs 30BTR --> MRAPs should win, depending if the 30 goes full potato

This applies to direct contact where noone moves and all just hold down the trigger..

Its all situational ofc. like, who sees whom first, who is in a better Position to fire , are there flanking elements and infantry Support with rpgs..ect ect...

This is simply ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ since there are MT-LB's with 30mm auto cannon as well. ^^

My callouts (I normally SL so I end up saying things double, once to the squad, secound to the Squad leads) consist of:
Striker
STRIKER! bearing ### LAT line up fire on mark.

MRAP or MAT-V
MAT-V! bearing ###... you get the idea
Should be called a MAT-V not a MRAP

BTR-80 (50cal)
BTR! bearing ###...

BTR-82A
30 MIKE, BTR!, Bearing ###...

MTLB (50cal)
MTLB!...

MTLB IFV
30 MIKE, MTLB!...

Note: There are 2 different kinds of MTLB 50cal, the first MT-LB 6M has the NSVT gun (the one where the gun is exposed and at the front of the vehicle) This varient is best against infantry only since it just fires a "standard" 50 cal round. The second, the MT-LBM 6MA has the KPVT gun (the one where the gun is in enclosed turret and located at the rear of the vehicle) This varient is good against both infantry and vehicles because it fires a armour-pericing round
