Metric rules the world, deal with it. B-)

Could be a nice to have feature I guess, though it'll mess up the gameplay. What if I'm your SL and I tell you flank 100m to the left and you're using the imperial system? You'll have the same problem (unless you can convert that fast or have a list of conversions close hehe).

I dont understand.. you are Polish, in Poland there are metric units so why you want imperial units? Especially you are national thinking (your nick narodowy- national) so you should preffer metric units.

Eh, it works for me. I couldn't tell you how far is 100 meters, but it shows distance on the map, so I use that as a rough guess. Besides, you can always use imperial in voice chat with your team, so it works out either way.

Also, British people have absolutely no right to ♥♥♥♥ on the Imperial system because "nobody else uses it" when they use Stone as a weight measurment (I'm not interested in your rock collection, I want to know how much X weighs) and drive on the left-side of the road, something that only former UK colonies (Ireland, India, Australia, etc.) and Japan use. Even Sweden realized that it was a pretty crappy system of driving and switched to the right way.

the reason for the difference is another..
Metric units has logic, 10mm=1cm, 10cm=1dm, 10dm=1m etc.
Just you americans need to feel special, must have everything different than others (doesnt matters that its stupid) like imperial units, date format (MM.DD.YYYY seriously?), liquid volume, weight volume etc.

Wow, looks like somebody can't handle someone using a completely functional system (also, what's wrong with month first, especially in conversation, where time of year is more important to visualization than the day?) just because he doesn't agree with it. Boo-hoo.

You say we need to feel special, but you're the people who have been perpetually murdering your neighbors for petty reasons for the last couple thousand years ... and think that constant murder and inbreeding makes you special (it only puts you on par with West Virginia). Your kind of spent hundreds of years taking over other people across the globe just because they were weaker than you for monetary gain, and you call it a "wonderful history" and a brilliant culture. In fact, your dim-witted peasant ancestors were more than happy to get themselves killed in battle just because their leige wanted to usurp the County of Whocareshire from the incompetant Duke Inbred. Funny thing is that we've been doing the same thing you did for all those years (territorial expansion, imperialism], but you resent us for it! What can I say, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, does it?

If it wasn't for all the military bases we built across Europe after World War 2 in the hope that maybe you people would stop killing each other for a little while, we would already be on World War 5 (because after approx. 11 million people killed in WW1 in europe and 60 million killed world-wide in WW2, you guys needed a serious friggin intervention.). When the USA inevitably goes down the drain because of all the crap we're in and we fall apart like your nations have many times over ... and we can no longer babysit you into forced pacivity (which oddly is not a word) ... Europe's gonna go right back into mindless cluster-♥♥♥♥ warfare like it has always been. You're going to be just like the Soviet Bloc nations when the USSR collapsed.

So maybe you should knock off the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and stop with the "we're better than you" act. We're only talking about the imperial system being implemented in the game, which it's not going to, and your empty self-congratulatory smugness for your history of failure only takes us further away from the discussion.

Also, you're welcome for keeping the Russians from moving any further west than they did, though it would have been fun to watch you war with each other for decades, though I kinda wish you could have been subjugated by them. I would have loved to have seen you guys end up like Hungary did after their failed revolt. Maybe you would actually appreciate us for once in your ungrateful lives.

Now, I really don't care to have this conversation anymore and I don't care what you have to say about this, I'd like to let it go and get back to the topic. And if you don't care about what I have to say either, then you should be the bigger man and just let it go, too.

some ....
I dont know where to start.. You missed so many points that I am asking myself why I am even answering you:)

1. Yes it works but not as well as ours... About date format, seriously is month at start better? Things in normal order are from the lowest to highest or opposite, year>month>day. Your argument is invalid.

2. Wow I cant handle it:D you are talking to me about us (europeans) that we were fighting in the past.. Look at you, how many wars USA started not so many years ago? You are the most aggressive nation in the world, killing thousands of people every year. Btw our ancestors did your history also, you are not nation in the right meaning, just mix of all nations of the world.

3. At first ww2 was so bloody and messy because of you too... You gave equipment and resources to the both of sides before and at start of war. At second you dropped 2 nuclear bombs which were many times larger than all explosives and ammunition used in ww2.

4. Yeah we were talking about imperial sunits and you started like

5. Yes nowadays you are helping us with our defence but you are also provocatting Russian federation to arm.

Thats all I can say about it... Its good that you love your country as I dobut come on, you must use the brain also. Wish you all the best, I am done with this conversation

I said I wasn't going to reply, but since you went ahead and replied anyway, I just can't let something this dumb go by.

Most aggressive nation on earth? I'm sorry, but we didn't start World War 1 and we didn't get involved in WW2 until the end. We haven't started anywher near the same number of wars you have in the same 200+ year timespan since we declared independance. That statement is a complete falsehood and you know it (or at least I seriously hope so, because I thought we Americans were bad at history). How many MILLIONS of people did you kill JUST between 1900 and 1945? More than we've ever killed in our whole history. Do a search for the world records for Most Bloodiest Battles in History, and then try and tell me we're the most agressive nation.

We dropped two Atomic Bombs on Japan, a nation we were at war with, while France did atomic testing that poisoned islanders who had no say in the deal and did so without any remorse. And the French were the ones who got the mess started in Vietnam; we just picked up where they left off.

Btw our ancestors did your history also
Thank you for proving my point that you criticize us for doing the exact same things you take pride in because your blinded by your own hypocritical nature.

, you are not nation in the right meaning, just mix of all nations of the world.
We're not a nation because we're a mix of different nations? Have you ever seen a history book before, much less opened it? The English is a result of the mix between the Anglo-Saxons and the invading French Normans. The Magyar are a mixture of the Uralic-Barbarian Magyar, European and the Mongols who invaded. Belgium is French and Dutch. Spain was conquored by the Muslim Moors for many years, and adopted many words and customs from them. Russia is a mixture of Slavic and many eastern tribes. And speaking of Slavs, the Balkans were under Ottoman Rule for many years, who were originally the Turks from the far east who took over the Eastern Roman Empire's capital of Constantinople. And think about how much land Macedonia/Greece and Rome conquored in their subsequent haydays? The romance languages are all descended from Roman Latin, the Cyrillic alphabet is descended from Greek.

I could get much deeper into this, deeper than you will ever be willing to discuss, but the point is that if I wanted to, I could make the exact same argument that most, if not all, of Europe at this point is a mixture of 1,000s of years of different nations together ... but I wouldn't do that because it would be just as dumb as claiming that we're not an actual nation because of that. That is not the definition of a nation, and I request that you check a dictionary for the meaning of that before you continue making factually untrue statements.

Again, criticize us for the same things you praise about yourself. And then you wonder why I have no respect for people like you?

Its good that you love your country as I dobut come on, you must use the brain also
You should try doing the same sometime, friend. Thanks again for proving my points for me. Goodnight.

No. There is no way to do so.

In the real world, pretty much every military (including the USA) uses the metric system pretty much for everything anyway - it's an international standard for a reason. Getting used to how much a meter is, or a kilometer (or "klick"), or such - is a useful skill.

While the option might sound nice as well, I feel that in a game based so strongly around team communication, having competing systems of units would do more harm than good. It's better that everybody is using the metric system when calling things out for their team, rather than having to switch between meters or feet or something at random.

It may take some getting used to, if you are not used to playing games which use the metric system, but it's not that difficult. A meter is a bit over 3 feet (3.28), and kilometer is a bit under 2/3 of a mile (plus, obviously, a thousand meters).
