Black Screen

Some update come out...
start Squad and got black screen all the time when i start the game and Task Manager says its not responding ... so... any idea ?

Look at your disk in task manager. If that is high then squad is loading something. The only solution to that is to move game to an SSD. This happened to me when I had it on hdd.

Manually clear the in game data cache gets rid of that issue as well as using SSD as well.

Save your control settings before doing this. Or you will lose them.

i dont have any mods but still get the black screen on startup, after a few minutes the game launches to the title screen, but if i try to join a server the black screen returns and stays there forever.

How do you remove the downloaded mods? I got this issue as soon as I tried servers with mod content. I suspect it's the mods.

To be clear, I have unsubscribed from teh mods but need to know how to remove any of the installed files from my HDD.

unsubbing from all mods and deleting my user settings folder fixed mine.

well, its work for me now but for some magical reason i cant connect to moded servers or dont even see them in server list! when i try to connect to my friend to moded server it says me i have different version of game ...

So unsubbing from all the mods I had on earlier fixed the problem, so now it loads like normal taking only a minute max. I would like to add how bull that is since literally yesterday I had no problem starting the game with all the mods on with the Canadian DLC added, and now the very next day I can't start the game with all the mods on. I dunno, but kinda pissed me off since I had multiple gigabytes of mods on. Whatevs tho, got the base game back

Just tried it on my HDD (will move the game to my SSD later and see if it helps)...

Launch took 4 seconds
