Should hip firing be sort of viable in game? Ya. at like in your face ranges. Sure some trick shooters can do real well doing this on static targets under no stress but why on earth would you be trying this stuff past 10 meters? Just shoulder your damned weapon and do what works.
Goodbye! Don't let the door hit ya!
Point shooting has multiple names and forms/variation; It's known as reactive shooting, reflex shooting, instinctive shooting etc Just depends what your military calls it.
Utilizing your weapon to accurately engage a threat, in close proximity without the need of using your iron sights or issued optic -- In such situations as urban clearance, like compound or room clearing.
lol ive had a dry erase marker dot on my monitor for years. Every time i clean my monitor with windex then play games without it.. It feels like im missing something.
There are so many games that temporarily hide the crosshair (kingdom come deliverance hides it when you draw your arrow)
Whats cool about the dry-erase marker dot. Is that every single first person shooter or third person game NO MATTER WHAT lines up perfectly to where the dot is. Basically what im saying is all games share the same center-point. So the dot comes in use on every single game
To draw the dot on just aim down your sight in any shooter. Or google "1920x1080 center screen". Save the picture. Fullscreen it. Then draw the dot on. Trust me you will never go back.
Here is a picture of my monitor

benelli guy doesn't use iron sights he just eyeballs the clay disks, he even shoots his gun behind his back
and the discs are so close together, never destroying two at once. So its not just lucky buckshot the guy is a magician
If I go acog on say logar valley, when I am in the town I just hip fire then ADS if I need to correct my aim.
really? too late now ive used it probably 100 times on this monitor lol. It is a glass ips display (no antiglare treatment at all) which is why it looks so sleek and sexy

I hate the weapon sway from suppression because it turns on the moment the enemy clicks his mouse. It's made marksman horrible to play and LMG kinda o.p.
You can just hip fire with a lmg in the general direction of the enemy and still suppress them, although you aren't firing short suppressive bursts like how suppression works in real life.
im not a big fan of supression in games, its another attempt at being realistic that doesn't quite work. Who are they to assume every soldier would turn into a jittering mess under duress?
Soldiers are badass, I've seen videos where soldiers will sit there calling out targets calm as hell while rounds hit right next to them or right above their helmet. I've watched a lot of war clips on liveleak
I think if there were bullets coming at me, yes id be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ my pants, but id pick a moment carefully where i would hold my breath, stand up, and force myself to be calm for a second while i decided who i wanted to shoot in the neck.
Maybe at least do some real world tests to see if soldiers aim JITTERS when bullets are flying in their direction? Because i find it hard to believe every man would just lose it
