This literally has nothing to do with video game licensing of real world weapons and equipment.
If a company wants royalties to be paid for one of their products being used/portrayed in a video game, they have legal rights under trademark.
It's why EA got hammered by AM General, for using Humvees in games without license. It's why EFT got hammered by Glock, Sig and various other companies, for using weapons and attachments in their game, without license.
It's why Bohemia uses real world vehicles and weapon designs in Arma, but alters their look and names them something completely different - To try bypass the laws. It's why OWI removed Humvees from Squad to avoid the whole licensing issues.
Also, Norinco pays for rights to manufacture Russian weapons - Such as the AK47/AKM, AK74, SKS and a few others. While China is known to take bits and pieces of designs from all over the world and make weapons, as long as they're not direct copies, and not being sold as trademarked names, they're not really breaking any rules/laws.

You are incorrect my man. While various MRAP variants have replaced the Humvee in reality, especially mid way through the Middle East Wars - It's not the main reason to why the Humvee were removed. OWI themselves have said it was mainly for legal reasons to why they were removed, and why the will not return to Squad(They didn't explicitly state what the legal reasons were, but it's pretty clear to assume what it was). Humvees were removed at the time AM General was suing EA for using M1151's in COD, and threatening to sue other companies if found.
EFT was publicly hammered by SIG and Glock on Twitter and Facebook, to have their products removed or obtain a license. Other companies like Spike Tactical mocked and dissed EFT for using their products without license, while praising another game(Ready or Not) for having license to use their products.
I couldn't find the Glock and Sig twitter post, they appear to be removed. I assume since they're a tad more professional when it comes to this. But Spike Tactical left their tweets up :)

Also, you can still sell your product, if you have unlicensed products in it - You just have to expect to get sued or backpay royalties in large quantities if you get caught.
