Indirect fire shelters are limited yet hasco bunkers aren't? Yet they seem to be linked?
Bear with me on this

If you build 3 hasco bunkers (Which are unlimited), they equal to 3 indirect fire shelters (Which are limited to 3)

Is this intentional? It's a strange thing to have the bunkers be related to the shelters and have it so they are the same 'type' while one has unlimited amount to be built, and the other is limited to 3 only?

I don't remember what a hasco bunker is, is that the spawn bunker?

either way the limit on indirect fire shelters isnt actually implemented, unless they changed it in the past 4 months since i haven't played, you can place as many down as you want.

They should outright remove them you can cheese some cap so hard with indirect fire shelter

If anything, the issue isn't that the indirect fire shelter is the only deployable that doesn't instantly cease to exist when any sort of actual firepower is targeted at it, making it the only feasible choice except for insurgent oil barrels for fortifying any position that actively has to contend with real external threats such as vehicle weapons, mortars, or command artillery, its that every other fortification choice is both too expensive and underpreforming in every key aspect - including the mind boggling change to the single hesco block doubling its cost.

As well, I'm failing to comprehend that you haven't discovered the relatively low skill method of utterly shutting down a defense that is "proxying the enemy hab", or not even the thought or suggestion of actively using all of your assets properly to attack whatever hardpoint you're speaking of - this is what you have mortars and vehicles for! Hell, actively enforcing that planned but objectively bad idea that is limiting the amount of fire shelters will just make playing defensively even less attractive, and Squad already has issues with people mindlessly charging at objectives to give up as soon as they get shot, all to waste tickets.

I'm fairly sure that your list of "objectives one can cheese" with indirect fire shelters belong to maps and layers that are garbage anyway, or just require slightly more coordination than "walk at enemy through open field with no cover". Too many times I've seen teams overextend themselves, all for the enemy to just walk onto the point I'm attempting to fortify, even when common sense would have dictated that its time to stop literally throwing tickets and assets away. The average player doesn't even like to play on defense!

Sincerely,
Someone who resembles the guy you may be complaining about.

No, that's the HAB.

I'm not aware of any changes myself but I noticed it while making a super-fob on a low pop server that hasco bunkers and indirect fire shelters were tied together (so 1 hasco bunker = 1 indirect fire shelter), yet you could build an infinite number of bunkers, but only 3 indirect fire shelters

Well, it's the only thing really worth building to actually fortify super habs. One arty strike wipes an entire game's worth of effort even on a long invasion match.

That's because it's not ww2 anymore you're not suppose to build sandcastle but many small fire support positions with line of sight on the actual defence objective
