I guess maybe unless you have fired long guns in the real world it's difficult to understand the mechanics in the games. That crosshair spread represents you being off center and off target. It takes a moment to roll back into it and line up the shot with a steady posture. And I don't think the crosshair is an accurate representation of the drift you'll have while firing rapid fire. I've always felt the 7.62x39 is a superior round for battle rifles. The .308 is too much power for a light frame and poorly buffered rifle if you want rapid precise fire.

I did feel the G3 in the " real world " as well as the G36.

I agree on what you are saying about the 7.62 completely.

In my experience, the recoil for the G3 is a bit too heavy in this game, but this is just how I feel about it. Minor adjustments could change the game experience a lot, towards the positive.

We could agree this is another case of a FANTASY video GAME being overly focused on the realism. Especially when this detail is trivial.

Any rifle a person shoots regularly they gradually become more efficient with and will remain as long as they stay in practice. The shooters height and weight has a lot to do with it too. So when you jump into a video game and there is no rebound or pacing to the recovery it feels like the avatar you are playing as NEVER fired a rifle or shotgun.

That's why I say so focused on realism it's unrealistic.

How do you properly emulate the recoil for perfect pace or feel when it doesn't feel the same to every shooter?

I don't feel this stuff needs to be absolutely realistic. It's a game so exceptions can be made for the sake of better balancing competitive play.

So back to the emulation, why not just make it as light as it could be for a skilled Marksman with a G3. :) Simple enough.

NO! Better yet, they could claim they modified ALL of their G3 rifles to reduce recoil. CAUSE they actually COULD if they wanted to.

So how realistic is their simulation and reasoning to begin with?

Can't argue with more factions even if their equipment is bland compared to others, it makes for good "world building" and player imagination; a new underdog faction. Ive been waiting to play a game on fallujah where it's MEA defending the city against attacking Militia.

On a side note if anything they could add some M16A2s to their loadouts; my understanding is that that is where most the A2s ended up once they fell out of service.

The rifle is best in semi-auto at medium or long range, if you have kit with the optics you are essentially a marksmen. I only use full auto at close range(10m or less) and don't ever bother with ADS just pull the mouse down and watch it eat. It is actually really easy to control this way because of the low rate of fire.

This faction is garbage, because it is a little difficult to shoot full auto beyond 30m? LMAO

-garbage scope
-20 round mags
-slow firerate
-high recoil
-the g3 just sucks ass

the only good thing about them is the MG3 but thats it.

G3 two shots so you can make up for that (10-20 kills if you land every shot)

Scopes wise,lets you range and are very simple (however Ironsights are agreeable)

they get the T-72 if I recall (Not a bad tank) and BMP-2 (Again not bad)

But effectively everyone gets a battle rifle (gets better for the fire support Automatic rifleman (Scoped + Drum mag + Bipod)

I rate them average because I get bored of the g3. It's just not as satisfying as the m4 or ak74. I guess the mg3 makes up for it though lol.

The jeep is fun drift in too.

MEA is definitely one of the best factions in the game.

After reconsideration: I never hated a faction in this game until this day. MEA is good as a concept but I truly feel like they have not put a lot of effort in to this faction. Everyone is just using a G3 except for one dude who can play around with the iconic MG3, but that is it.

I am not even against the G3 in general but being forced to play that thing all the time with MEA is just lame and really makes me quit matches sometimes. I just want to have at least a little choice. Just give them some foldable AK-74 assault rifles or at least some kind of M16 assault rifle. This clunky a... G3 is just a pain in this game, as much as I respect it in real life.

The real god gun is scoped drummag G3 - 50round dmr.
