lol this guy thinking that I'm not better than him with lmg compared to what-ever role he wants to play lol.
I like to play it to unwind from squad leading after a few games...
Still never got the timberwolf on a server though.
That one is crazy popular.
The other marksman kits aren't too hard to get since most players have realized it's generally not as useful as other kits.
This is the cold hard facts right here.
Woah guys look out we got a real hero over here!
I usually lead my own squad but sometimes I'm sick of having to tell people that they can right click the map and middle mouse button changes their firing mode etc.
Mouthing off at people who just want to play a different role for a change, one mind you, that is always locked, is about as brainless as it gets. There's a variety of roles to play dude because the same role gets fûckíng boring after playing it for tens of hours and they all have their use. No one cares if AT or GH is 'most of the time' more useful. I play games for my own enjoyment primarily dude, not to jerk asshats like yourself off.
Marksman is a fun role that is almost always instantly locked and the only downside of this game is the fact that you can't take what roles you want, when you want. I don't care if it's an unpopular opinion. If the enemy team wants to take all ALAT or AT then let them and see if I care. I'll massacre them.
The fact that there has to be a meta-by-design for a warfare simulator is just utterly ridiculous.
Anyway I just played a few rounds with friends and took Marksman because I'm sick of playing with pugs. I got 18 incapacitations and 16 kills in the first match. With zero deaths. I was dropping people with ease from 800m and relaying movements to other squad leaders for over and hour and we won by over 250 tickets.
You're probably one of those reddit clowns that plays anthem music every time a new game starts like no one has ever done that before and even after 1.2k hours because you're the only one who thinks it's funny. If you were my squad leader and I took marksman and you told me to change, I'd tell you to eat my ass.
lol at this guys lol thinking I don't have an obsession with the new mg3 and its insane killing efficiency because of being stupid accurate burst firing 5-10rnds, bipod, large FOV/minimal ui scope, and ability to adjust range.
But on a side note, being a "sniper" is less about the sniping and more about blending in.
Since all the marksmen kits (except l85) have a very distinct sound signature...you don't blend. Soon as you fire once, everyone knows it was a marksmen as well as distance and direction. Where as if it is a standard rifle, it will more often blend in with the rifles crackling off. Also the other kits come with binoculars which are without a doubt superior for spotting targets because they also have that cheap range checking parabola.
The people who link a specific role to a specific "kind", are usually the worst.
