Squad

Squad cant hear me in game
Just wondering if anyone has come across a fix for this?

Im using a turtle beach stealth 600 thats connected to my pc via a microsoft adapter. I have checked my mic is working through, windows sound settings, discord, steam, and nvidia overlay, and within the game itself all is selected correctly. All except squad confirm that my mic output is operating properly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ya Boy Nasty

This game is terribly optimised for microphones.

Microphones work fine in this game, Bruce is talking nonsense. Normally as the game uses the steam voip system, if your mic works for voice chatting with a friend through steam, it should work in game.

The only thing I can think of that could be the problem is either connecting the mic after starting squad, or that it disconnects at some point during play for some reason. The reason is that whenever squad is already running when your mic is connected, it will not work until you restart squad.

So make sure your mic is running in steam before you start squad, and make sure that connection with you mic is not interrupted at any point or you would have to close and restart to get it working.

The game can get screwy if you have more than one microphone attached to your computer, whether it be from a VR headset or a webcam.

I would unplug anything else you're using and only have your headset plugged in and then restart the game.

If you go into the Option under Audio, it should say which device is being used for input.

Yeah now that I think about it im not quite sure if I set everything and then restarted the game.

I will be trying this now.

If you change mic or any setting while squad is running it will not work at all and you have to restart. Other than that never had a problem as long as the microphone is correct in windows settings and working with other programs.

Single jack headphones don't seem to work with squad in my experience, has to be dual input. Not sure if a splitter will make it work or not but most people I've seen with this problem are either modifying their headphone settings while the game is running or are using a single jack speaker+microphone.
