Scopes are sh!t

I dont understand why Squad can't make the scopes properly realistic?

PU 3.5 scopes, with only a 1.5 zoom?
4x russiann infantry scopes, also 1.2-1.5 zoom?

What's the purpose of ever picking a scope, when it's unrealistic like that?

In order for PiP to be considered a release is coming down to map optimization. some maps sitll have legacy shaders and old/less optimization methods and materials. (Al Basrah for an example) people still experiencing hitching and fps drop in areas. Before PiP becomes an actual thing, maps like Fallujah need to be massively optimized more. Until then, parallax will take over. PiP is a work in progress and still being tested and considered.

I'd assume that's because the conflict is also 'scaled down'. In real life, contacts happen beyond 500 meters away. In fact, most military service members mentioned that in most situations, you don't even get to see the enemy.

It is because in real life you actually want to live. Means you usually shoot in to the enemy's direction to surpress and push them back, even without seeing them (I do this in squad as well).
And scopes do suck in this game.

Do you have your FOV set higher than 90?

Scopes are actually pretty OP, literally no downside to using scopes. No paralax, no reduced ADS, no penalty to full auto while scoped. If everyone is using the same or similar scope magnification, what does it matter if they're not true to form?

totally support your idea, also we need to have a better way to honor those who played this game for long time : like ranking system

the acog definitely has 4x in my game. Maybe it's lens distortion from FOV. Anyways, I expect it'll be better when PIP is added.

Only problem I have is them not giving some classes scopes at all. Especially for the countries with better established militaries USA,Canada ect.. Hats and Lead/Reg engineers ect..
