Your argument is "he" and "his"? SMH
Hell Let Loose has a ranking system? How does that works since you choose your team?
Having a backend to maintain and operate costs the devs money. Singular dedicated servers run by the community doesn't.
I mean so you see how much your Squad lead knows and it makes it easy for new guys talk 2 guys who got more time in the game
and i dont face that toxic stuff people talk about here
Because of a need for dedicated backend resources for saving player data and the cost of having that run and maintained, will be a consideration. If the rank/player sq3 file was still saved locally then you could easily manipulate it.
You get no reward it is just 2 Show other people how much expirience you got
would make no sense 2 fake that
Cause if you are bad you are bad and thats it
But the ranking system in HLL has loadout gear locked behind it, which would be different in Squad as you have access to everything straight away, depending on the size of the squad you are operating.
And the original poster did say, 'Like in Hell lets Loose'. But if it is just to show how much experience you have then it will not be like in Hell Let Loose. You need to have a reason for ranks in games, and in most games it will be to unlock something. And that's the driver for progression. There is no progression in Squad, so no need for ranks.
Complete 2 of the 3 to earn the Medic Service Medal:
- 1000 team heals
- 500 hours as medic
- 500 revives
Earn 5000 heal points to earn First Aid ribbon
Rank Cpl. = 1 medal + 1 ribbon + 100 hours playtime + 25,000xp + 10,000 objective points
This way, just getting kills won't rank you up and just playing the game for hours on end without actually doing much won't rank you up either. You actually have to do something worth while and meaningful to rank up. Ranks would in turn have more meaning behind them and would distinguish players from one another.
BF2:MC had the best ranking system I have ever seen. I was proud to reach 2nd LT. at the time.
Hell let loose attracts players through a progression/unlocking system with realism and little character customization and role scoring system so players can play the role and be rewarded.
Squad is a arcade/ realistic game or a rip and paste of PR2 the only immersion i feel in squad is good teamwork depending who is playing. Vehicles, weapons handling, is a bit arcade cringe.
Post Scriptum i don't have the game but players from post scriptum comes to HLL and tell me its dead.
