Squad

TO ALL NEW PLAYERS!
As of now there's been a massive influx of new players, and here are some tips for you new players in order to not frustrate the existing player base and shoot yourself in the foot.

Squad is a team game that requires communication and logistics in order to win!
So here are some tips:

1: DO NOT CREATE A SQUAD!
You have no experience with the game, and you will more than likely piss people off on your team and make the team loose the first portion of the game.
So instead join a squad and tell your squad leader that you are new, and ALWAYS follow your Squad Leader's commands!
Also as a new player you will not be able to control local, squad and team radios communication. So let someone else be a squad leader.

2: Communication.
As stated above, join a squad and tell your SL that you are new.
Every player is willing to forgive fatal mistakes you make, if you are new.
But nobody can know if you are new, if you don't tell them.

3: Follow Orders!!!!!!!
I've seen this happen way too many times.
Listen to your Squad Leader and follow his commands. DO NOT wander off randomly on the battlefield. Stay with your Squad and Squad Leader.
If you are unsure about your orders, radio your squad leader on what to do next.

4: Pick Easy To Use Kits.
Don't pick a kit that requires experiene and knowledge, like for example HAT or LAT. If you are new it's best to start of with the basics so that you don't get confused or yelled at or get stressed out.
Start with Rifleman, Medic or Automatic Rifleman.

Dont start with this topic again. Pls, its shortsided and ALWAYS will lead to more situations like we have now. And I dont like cheaters...

How exactly would that lead to more situations like this?
And y, noone likes cheaters, what does that has to do with the topic anyways?
If anything some rank locked servers would filter out newly created cheater accounts and give more integrity in that regard?

Splitting is worse then combining. You for one was there too when you started. So give others the chance you ve had too

y, but i had a mic, took my time to watch youtube guides AND most importantly i was only playing noob friendly servers. I was "accepting" the community rules, but the problem is right now you have SO many noobs who dont have a clue about them or do not care at all.

It is not about "spliting" its about ensuring a decent player experience for all skillevels. Literally 90% of multiplayer games do exactly that and for good reason.

First: If there is a ranking symste, where you have to archive things for example, then cheating is away to get to that point.
OR If I do not want be be cut off from others (like in real world) and I dont know how, I would cheat, to be a part of "it" the "elite".

90% of multiplayer games do have more cheaters than squad, for a good reason. You get my drift.
As I pointed out earlier, I do understand the problem, but locking people out, is not the way to deal with it. No in the virtual world, not in the real world either.
Sa again, you have to deal with them, personally, ingame, talking, including them, giving them advice. Saying you were like them before. How would you handled the situation of "beeing new"?->tell them!

This is the fastest way to help them play the game like it is supposed to be played, keep the community NONEtoxic and show them, that you are better than those, who are locking things up, splitting etc.

Just be human. They are human too. ;):)

You gotta give these guys time to get into the groove of things. You should be happy that this game is getting more players and attention, not mad. Just give them some time and help them out. Don't push them away with your elitist mentality that everyone NEEDS to live up to your standards. We were all there at some point. Hell I only have 97 hours and I still feel like a new player.

New players are forced to make their own Squads because Veteran Squads are all locking their Squads all the time. When i join a game I see normally 8 locked Squads and NO not all of them are vehicle Squads. You can not tell players to learn the game, while sitting in your own echo chamber with locked Squads.

My first games were exactly the same 2 years ago. So had to go to YouTube to watch a tutorial about Squad leading and Squad in general. Because even back then people were locking Squads and were forcing new players to open their own Squads.

Most Veterans are to lazy to lead a Squad. Because it is to much stress for them.

During the past three months, the average numbers of players has been around 4000-5000 players. Now the number seems to lie around 10000. That's almost a 100% increase of playerbase. I'd like to see a 200% increase hehe

BS, I've got 200hours in squad and this never happens because most servers do not allow locked squads. Unless someone locks in a vehicle/crewman squad.

What you are saying is utter BS, or you've been playing on the wrong server.

I've seen plenty of locked squad that aren't vehicle/crewman across multiple servers. The amount of locked squads I've come across has definitely gone up.

I see it happen quite often that experienced / regular players form Squads, lock them, then invite their buddys and some regular longtime players they know who happen to be on the server at the time and unassigned and THEN opening the squad up for the rest, maybe there are 3 spots left, maybe just one or none.

Yeah, this happens a ton.

and its the biggest issue currently, sure - those squads will often be great to play with and effective, but might lead to all experienced players being in 2 Squads and all the rest is new and has to fend for themselfes.

Ideally more experienced players would make Squads now, i mean those who could but usually prefer not to, allowing the new players to have at least a good start and objectives that make sense, so ppl can play and learn and some will be able to SL adequately themselfes in a few weeks.
don't like it?
than play on Canadian servers or 506 easy company, they don't allow that ♥♥♥♥.

How can human beeings only be so stupid? New players are the best that can happen to a niche game like this. What's so wrong with just open up a noob teaching squad as "veteran" for the next days and help those guys out? I'm sure most of them will appreciate it and your server will benefit from a bigger community. Use your brain!

The funny thing is, when veterians teach newcomers the ropes, the WILL ahve more and better future Squad mates to play with AND a better and longer lasting expirience.

Its shortsighted as fu*k and the only harm themselves

You only see the positive which makes u blind think the negatives aswell.

Sls are new and dissapear in middle of game

No mic sls

Sls who dont know what to do

At who dont know what to do.

Those are just tiny examples and the list is huge what can get wrong in large amounts of new players coming.

The worst part is that most the good ones aka vets quit or take a break cause they know how bad the servers go when alot of new people come. And you would need to show ropes for the new people? It will take approx 4 months for the new people to learn most of the things. Meta, capping, teamwork etc..

But keep thinking positive i dont mind that

Most servers generally declare or punish new players being SL's by disbandening the squad if they fail to comply to server rules or fail to communicate. Stop making it seem like a bigger issue than what is
Nick 2020 年 9 月 30 日 上午 6:54
You can always make your own squad, at least some of these new players are willing to try and lead and learn.
