Squad
why does the server browser not show any servers
does anyone know the most likely cause of this?

Evening folks,
As some may know the server browser is having issues finding servers. We have pinpointed this issue to a higher than normal load on all of Steam's servers which is causing our browser to time out. As a bandaid I have prepared a work around for those eager to play that will extend the time the server browser waits until steam responds.

1. open start menu and type
%localappdata%\SquadGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
hit enter

2. Open Engine.ini with notepad

3. Add these lines to the bottom:
[OnlineSubsystem]
PollingIntervalInMs=100

4. Hit Save

5. Boot up the game and try and refresh the browser, it may take a few attempts.

Please note that this might not fix the issue for everyone depending on your connection etc, it also might not show you every server and it may take a couple of refreshes as well. But it should hopefully get more people into the game than there currently is.

easy work around, currently playing right now, this worked for me!

press Ctrl + Shift + escape scroll down and find "Windows Explorer" and end the process, this will reset your network and the server should begin showing up

nope

it looks like it is a recent and common problem for a lot of people, they put out a temporary fix saying to go to top right of steam application where it says "View" and then go to servers and then choose squad in the filter and that that should allow connection, but it looks like a lot of the servers are low pop because people are not easily able to join servers.
This workaround doesn't work

I can confirm the workaround need a workaround.

-=need to close squad before launching from Steam server list. =- squad reopens.

--- edit... still not working

Additional step, click the tick box that says "has users playing" and the servers should show up.

You could try going to the Steam Settings, click In-Game, look for drop down menu In-Game server browser: Max pings / minute, and start by selecting 500 or try the various options there.

1000 worked for me, but ymmv.

i keep getting this and its really ****ing me off. First load up today all severs showed, played about 4 games.. Server went dead so left to join 1 of the other multiple servers that had showed up and now none of them are showing. Ive restarted pc, cleared both download and data caches, removed all filters. Nothing is working

this work around works just fine! Thanks!
GO TO STEAM APP THEN VIEW (TOP LEFT CORNER) SELECT SEVERS VIA STEAM APP.
THEN IN FILTERS SELECT SQUAD. I AM RUNNING THE GAME IN THE BACK GROUND AND IT WORKED JUST FINE.
I can confirm working as well. Thanks
