squads crouch cover issue

despite being a tactical fps squad runs into that issue of most cover either being a bit too high or just a bit too short. you are either stuck having to stand up to shoot over it and thus exposing yourself too much or cannot get your gun barrel past the cover because your crouch height jsut isnt high enough. this leads to people haveing to play some form of having to really leave cover to pop a few shots off.
i think a RS2 style solution, where when ads while crouch, your character boosts himself in height just enough to fire over most cover.

So you want a manual do it yourself turned into a right click spam automatic system. Stop being lazy and take cover . The problem with your proposed setting is that . 1 you will start moaning of still getting shot due to the amount of objects to take cover is uncountable and programming that is a chore . 2. you either want to be impervious to any and all direct fire that will completely ruin the whole point of using squad cohesion and tactics .

My go at this . This is not a rail shooter and that is that.

he is clearly saying when you are IN COVER you cannot look OVER COVER while ADS on some wall heights. you are clearly either plagued with cataracts and did not read this right or are looking for attention via rude response for no reason.

I feel like they did this on purpose for the sake of game balance where it's supposed to give the defending team a slight disadvantage so the game could have a better flow. Or I'm way over my head.

Red Orchestra 2 solved this over 10 years ago, if you're crouched behind cover that is slightly too high and you ADS your character automatically aims over the cover, like FD_Stalker said, Squad needs a better collision system for weapons

The biggest problem with Squad isn't the cover... its how you can be breaching a house and certain buildings (mostly on balconies), will allow the breacher to lean into a doorway slowly and see the enemy's entire body while the breacher isn't exposed at all. It's weird. Check it out for yourself at Jensen's Range MOUT Area, the first two story building on the northern part.

Escape from Tarkov allows you to hold control and mouse wheel up or down to raise and lower your stance. All the way down is low crouch, all the way up is standing straight.

I think this is more down to latency regarding the breacher/leaning effect. Don't know how many times I've shot someone entering a building or room in the head with about 3-5 shots just for me to be killed.
