Dont add Female Charachters

Lets start off squad is meant to be realistic women makeup around 3% of combat roles and there not even allowed to fight in every country also i would guarrante that this would lead to pepole to do inappropriate things with the Female Characthers,

I was on the Squad discord and a OWI developer said shes almost done with Female skins i asked they shouldnt be here becasue they make up 3% and she got pissed and banned me

According to the log and others I asked about this, you received 3 warnings, were baiting others, and made comments such that females in squad should only be logi drivers and do paperwork. You also weren't banned by her, but by a moderator (after 3 warnings).

sounds a bit overly dramatic to me - i too would vote against female soldier models in squad, but how is this such a big deal you would quit the game over it ?

it's because I can not relate to it. I dislike the idea of being "represented" by a female charakter on the battlefield. ( I do not mean it in general, games in which the main-charakter or hero is a female are excluded)

metaphorically spoken, for me it simply takes the immersive part out of squad and kills it right in front of me by dirty, nasty headshot from behind.

Lol wtf. I watched that whole conversation on discord and there was ZERO mention of Female Characters actually being worked on for the game. It's usually just a topic that gets brought up as banter by one of the female devs.

speaking for myself: yes.

In this case there would be just 4 options, as far as I am concerned:

1. optional for server owners:
like setting the layer of the map, if activated, it would be random => I'm out

2. optional for the client:
so everybody has the chance to play as a women... I can already picture it: a squad full of females called "the lads" => way worse than option 1

3. a set number of female charakters (optional):
like weapon kits (maybe 3-5 females per team) => ok for me

4. a set number of female charakters (non-optional):
like option 3, but if nobody chooses female-soldiers, the total amount of available female soldiers per team would be spread randomly among team members. => I'm out


3 out of 4 would be a game killer for me

im not what the big deal is. especially if they have as a option in the settings for a male or female model to be used as your character. it is a game. a game where we have people blaring music and doing barrel rolls in a tank. how often do you stare at another players face?

with all of this said what if there were 2 options? one to use the female model as your character and see other ppl using male or female as they chose and the other option to have everyone appear as male?

would that satisfy everyone?

you say it's a game, and games are supposed to make fun. agreed.
for me, the joy and fun is out when I can not choose to stay male and/or see unrealistic number of females in fighting forces.

if you can enjoy yourself if this occures, good for you.
